At Shoppers, the customers are the employees now! 

This is hilarious, i particularly hate the self checkout machines at shoppers. They seem to be the most confusing worst of the worst available.

I make a donation every time I buy anything by over paying for over priced garbage. Here's a tip Shoppers, don't suck.

I don't tip unless it's a sitdown restaurant with an actual server serving me. If you don't provide a service outside of the paid product, you get squat.

I hate how out of hand tipping is getting now. Even Starbucks expects a tip, which was never the case.

I never donate at any store checkout because then they get the tax credit at the end of the year. I donate directly to whom I feel I want to.

Best way to ensure you don't get a tip is for their to automatically be a screen asking for a tip. No one is tipping me in my job, my employer pays a living wage.

In all seriousness I loved shoppers. Had loads and loads of points. Now I shop in rexall. Auto check outs are evil. They removed okay jobs and not one penny went to the customers. I line up and refuse to move until served by a human

I rarely use self checkout in order to save the employees jobs.

I do hate Shoppers..it's difficult because they've taken over it seems.

Scary since this is the way everything is now. Just look at delivery, you buy 20 to 40$ of food, they have a delivery fee of 4$. Then the driver expects a tip even if he took an hour to deliver it! Or you go pick it up yourself and they all have the tip window. But even worse is that some places, all tips are pooled between employees. If you tip the waitress a lot because she took good care of your table, she probably doesn't even see half that tip since the tip goes to the cooks, dishwashers, managers and the other waitresses that didn't do a good job.

Walmart is really pissing me off with the now 5 prompts you are given before payment. F-off!

And the audacity is the machine loudly asks afterwards, " How did we do?" I will use self check out when I get a staff discount. My local Shoppers even has the nerve to try to force people to use them by putting a sign on their main desk that says Cash Only. I ignore that and they serve me because the cashire confided in me that they still have to serve us. Horrid!!

And they charge at least %20 more for a generic cough syrup.

I wait at the cashiers even if no one is there. When they point at the self-check out, I just say no thanks I prefer to save your job. If they still insist to use the self-check out then I leave the item and leave.

I stopped shopping there when they went to the chickless checkout

I refuse to use self checkouts. Meanwhile employment says there's less jobs being filled this season, wonder why? When we had a small population there was jobs for everything. Now we have a huge population and everything is automated. Guess I should learn how to use onlyfans like the kiddies do.

They sure have changed . Overpriced. To be fair they do have some great sales in grocery section. I don't buy unless on sale or go on Seniors day for 20% off. Refuse to use self checkout. Our store is down to 1 cashier, and I don't care how long the line is. I have read that some retailers that have mostly self checkouts are realizing it was a mistake and going back to cashiers.

I try not to go to Shoppers now that they are owned by the Weston Family. They got enough of my tax dollars at their Loblaws stores for new freezers

They can’t get rid of these infuriating, disrespectful machines soon enough. I avoid Shoppers Drug Mart for everything except prescription drugs.

If I'm the de-facto employee, then the tip should be a discount. I've left entire shopping carts full of stuff rather than use a self-checkout. I'm not an employee, I'll be damned if I'm gonna be one for free. They don't work for free, why should I?

I rarely go to Shoppers Junk anymore, since they became just another Seven11. Prices are higher, no cashiers, and as much crappy processed food as you can handle. No thanks. Another once-proud retailer self destructing.

I actually don't mind the self checkouts at Shoppers. It's a great way to bypass the long line of people redeeming lottery tickets and it's also the perfect opportunity to pay a fair price instead of the gouging ones that Loblaws demands.

it it comes ot the point where tipping becomes mandatory to buy something i will literally walk out with the items i was planning to buy..they gouge and overpriced as is and have the nerve to ask for donations and tips..and odds are those donations arent going to where they claim..its ridiculous..at grocery stoeres they ask for donations but grocery store owners ar emaking record profits but eyt they ask the consumer to donate...stupid

It makes me laugh when the screen asks customers to rate their experience and they select one star. I guess they think they didn't do a good job scanning their own items 😂. Do the survey where there's a link on the receipt as stores do read that feedback. If doing that enters you into a draw for a gift card, the odds of winning are higher than you might think.

Bro. This is getting crazy. They want tipping for take out, which I kind of get, but there was no service so the tips should be tiny. Now they want tips for a coffee. I bought some chocolate bars at a fancy place and they wanted a tip. This is too much.

I like McDonald's checkouts where it asks if you want to takeout or dinein, i mostly dinein but the always give it to me in a to go bag. So, why ask?

On a good note.. Many stores are abandoning the self-checkout due to theft. Good. . Self checkout should only be there for those short on time and not able to wait in line. I prefer to speak with a person

They also told me at my neighborhood Shoppers, when I was buying some of those cheap watches they have there, that there was "no return", on these items. I was taking them over seas for gifts to family, at the end we could not figure out how to make those things work. My loss, so, I won't buy there anymore. New owner, tacky policy.
