I loved this video. Everything. First, you look so stunning, and natural, and just, well, right in your silver hair. Seeing pictures of you with coloured hair, while lovely, they just seem wrong. Second, your Grandmother’s quote about having enough birthdays….that really touched me. Brought tears to my eyes actually. I think for me that came this year, at 50. I’ve stopped trying to make myself look a certain way, and stopped saying certain things (or not saying them!), to make other people happy. I’m coming up on 17 months on my grey hair journey, and I don’t even notice it anymore. It’s just, well, me. You should have so many more subscribers. You are lovely.

My daughter is 41 and went gray in a cool short asymmetrical cut. She gets so many compliments. At 70 I am now saying goodbye to the dye.

Hello silver sister, I feel so much the same as you though my gray hair journey. I gave up the dye about 5 years ago. I was 48 at the time. I got a considerable amount of push back from friends at the beginning, but as it became more dominant they all loved it. I was willing to go very short so it only took a year for me to finish. Since I’ve been letting it grow nice and long. Now I have exactly what I hoped for on the first day I decided not to color again. I too just feel more myself. Your grandmother’s words were so insightful! What a lovely thing to pass down. I’m new to your show and I enjoy very much. Thank you. ❤

Wow, I never would have guessed you were a curly girl. I'd assumed that was your normal straight hair. Would love to see what it looks like curly someday. I think as you get older you become more comfortable with yourself and therefore more confident and care less what others think about what you look lIke or what colour your hair is etc. We spend years dyeing our hair and trying to fit in with everyone around us when in fact it is much more freeing to just let go and just be our own natural selves. I think focussing on yourself and what makes you happy is what matters. If you are happy with your hair or whatever, that's all that matters. Life is too short to be constantly second guessing what others think or say about us.

Thank you for another timely video! I'm two years in with the natural color grow-out. While the result isn't what I was hoping for (it's dark brown mixed with some gray rather than super dramatic streaks or solid silver 🙂), I'm happy I'm no longer experimenting with DIY bleaching/dyeing. Length-wise, I have another year to go before I feel like myself again. In November 2020 I got a really short cut to remove the damage. I can't wait to reach my goal of long, unruly hair. Keep up the inspiring videos!🌻

I am with you on the comfort zone when it comes to the length; I have a ways to go since I shaved my head bald last October to “start from scratch” lol 🤷🏻‍♀️. I’m not sure if you’ve spoken about this before in any previous videos but do you struggle with ‘yellowing’ of the hair, and if so , any suggestions?
