QCI Update: All firstnet lines remain in the qci 6. Premium Business lines remain in qci 6/7 for now. Im told this will change jn the future. Remember, firstnet includes preemption and priority over all consumer and Business data traffic.

I don't think too many people fully understand QCI. It varies depending on what you are doing on any carrier. If you are on QCI 9 about all you will be able to do is open e mail regardless if the tower is congestion or not. All phone calls are QCI 2.

FirstNet with Android. I dont understand a lot of data stuff, but i know it works wonders in my area. Especially when weather bas effected normal coverage.

I noticed that issue, I always get lower signal and speeds on my iPhone 15 then on the S23. They both have the X70 so i say it’s a fair comparison

Ookla recommends to use default servers. I use the apps as designed. Don't forget traffic routes differently through firstnet and I can't change that.

Unfortunately it doesn't matter immensely. As an example, Dish could simply place their Ookla server on a minimum required by Ookla gigabit connection on a virtual server that they rent from a nearby hosting provider, while AT&T most likely has a 10 gigabit or higher link feeding their Ookla server that's most likely located at one of their own COs/data centers. At the same time you never know which speed test server is simply more or less popular, hence how many people simultaneously are running their own speed tests on it and you can be doing your speed comparison while Dish server has 90% of utilization and AT&T might be just chilling at 10%, in either case you should always perform comparison tests on the same server. Yes, you'll never get an absolutely perfect comparison by using publicly available speed test servers without for example getting your own dedicated fiber connection with the ability to control OSFP on a provider level, setting up a decent server and using tools like iperf for testing, but that would be a solution for big companies that make money by testing networks.
