At the risk of sounding like my grandpa, I'll say that I genuinely feel bad for younger people who will probably never experience Chrono Trigger, as most would immediately ignore it as "dated". It is my favorite game since the day I first played it, it still is today, and as time goes on I feel like no other game will ever surpass it. This is one of the most memorable songs from it, and you did an amazing performance, Kara. :)

So much of this game is so powerful...it really is a timeless classic and the series deserved better than to be left in the bin of Square's previous hits. When I hear this performance, I think of all the darkest moments of this game - the end of the Reptites, Glenn's feelings, Chrono's Death, and so much more. That a game can still make me feel like that decades after I first played it is amazing and just goes to show how great the game was and how amazing the entire format of videogames can be.

I love listening to this music while remembering my younger brother, he died last jan 31, 2020. He is sitting and we thought he is just sleeping. Can't help shed a tear while listening to this music, i always remember him and my childhood days together with him when listening to this music. Im 37 already, and i hope this comment will remain til i die and those who read this comment after 100 yrs, will count the years passed. I hope me and my brother will see each other again in the afterlife. I miss him so much..😢

It's amazing the range this piece of music has...not only is it used with Glenn and Cyrus, but also serves as [[a Game Over theme...and]] my personal favorite, as the theme when Azala laments the death of the Reptites as the meteoroid carrying Lavos begins to enter the atmosphere. From intimate to world-shattering moments, the music fits perfectly. Beautiful cover Edit: Totally mixed up this theme with the actual game over theme...and I call myself a Chrono Trigger fan! :P

Hello Kara. This was beautiful...soo many deep emotions hidden on every single note of this song. And yet, it´s hard not to think about Frog´s (Glenn) story with this one. I would agree, I definately associate this piece with Glenn and Cyrus, but hadn't really realized it until I read that. This is definitely my favorite game of all time. Now it's so cool, I'm 36 and all my kids are into it. They love your performances! Thanks for doing such a quality job. Besides seeing it, the fact that you enjoy playing so much really comes across when you hear it.

Great work on on the keys, Kara! Chrono Trigger has some emotionally and contemplatively powerful music, and you perfectly captured that in your recording here. Fate's a strange thing...I've been following your videos for a while now, but I just recently found this particular cover. Between teaching my remote classes, I've been teaching myself to play this version and it's helped to keep me sane with the current state of this pandemic. Last week, as I was practicing, I got a phone call that my grandfather fell gravely ill; he wasn't eating, was terribly weak, and his spirits were grim. He and my grandma are the entire reason I got into music in the first place, so I went to their house the next day to spend time with him and play some music to try and lift Pap's spirits. This was the first song I played for him, without explaining it was from a video game or what it's meaning was. Pap really enjoyed the song...he closed his eyes, smiled, and perked up in his chair, and I nearly cried when I saw his reaction to the music. I played other music for him, but this song seemed to really resonate with him. Thank you, Kara, for your inspiring performance (and props to Starsoarer on the arrangement!). Pap is now in the hospital, and there's a chance I might not see him again thanks to this ongoing pandemic. But thanks of you, I was able to tell Pap "I love you" in the language he and Grandma taught me to speak.

I almost falled in tears. Chrono Trigger and its soundtrack always makes me feel so good. Crono and his friends also were my friends when I was younger playing it. I have a giant empathy with the characters. When I finished the game at the first time, I cried a lot. It was a mix of happiness and sadness at the same time. Happiness because I reached the goal, they saved the world (and time). But sadness because all of them was saying goodbye to each other finishing the story. So time after time, I play Chrono Trigger again and again, just to replay this sensation and to meet my friends again. Thanks a lot for playing this awesome track. You made my day better.
