Old route is 57 km, new is 22km. Maths for up-down is: old route -57*2 = 114 Kms, new route = 22* 2 = 44, difference is 70 Km less for new route. My vehicle gives mileage of 10km per litre, so it basically saves 7 litres of diesel for me, and saves 7*94 = Rs 658 for me. Out of which i give Rs 375 as toll, which gives net savings of Rs 283 per trip. Also, it saves 3hours-40 mins which is 2 hours 20 mins

The bridge is not built on taxes alone, no massive infrastructure project is. It is built using soft loans and debt which has to be repaid. Open a book and read before commenting.

When you get salary, it is taxed, When you buy bike, pay tax on that, When filling petrol, pay tax When taking a bike on the highway pay toll, Effectively, from your earning, the government is exhorting around 30%. Out of 100 rupees, you pay 30 rupees to govt. We don't even pay 30% of our salary to rent a house and its maintenance. Why pay 30% just for existing in that country. In a view, when people live there, they are using the facilities of that country, once they are dead those things remain, we are just renting the services of that country. And it should not be more than equivalent to whatever percentage of salary you can afford to rent a house. People pay different level of rents according their income, but I don't think anybody pays 30% of their income to rent only. In my case I just pay 8% of my salary to rent a house.
