Erin, thanks for checking out the Recharged games ... really enjoy your take on gameplay. We will tell the team you are expecting a Crystal Castles: Recharged
ATARI…on the 39th Challenge Level for Centipede: Recharged VCS-800 version(exclusive content) there aren’t enough Scorpions to destroy to complete the level. I have finished all of them except this one level that has either the Scorpion count meter too high or the number of Scorpions on the level too low. I thought I needed to have zero/nothing on the screen…which I accomplished multiple times playing for over an hour. Then I realized what was making the meter increase…
@@F1JV Thank you for letting us know this is a persistent issue. We're aware some people has been having problems with it, and will have this fixed soon enough.
@@atari …great…thank you for responding and looking into this matter. I love all the ATARI Recharged games and can’t wait for Breakout: Recharged + any others that are in the plans.
I love the aesthetic of these games. It's like what someone from the 80s might come up with if you asked them what video games would look like in the future.
It is very hard to capture an old school feel while making it sound modern without ruining the actual feel of it. And every Recharged soundtrack I've heard to this day sound great. Very well done.
I absolutely love the recharged series of atari games. Just wish there was an option for the standard 3 lives per game. It would be amazing if they released a recharged version of star wars but I wouldn't hold my breath on that one.
who agrees that for the atari vcs 2 atari should have at least a few new atari vcs 2 exclusive launch games like a new centipede a new missile command a new asteroids for examples because i do
These redone games look beautiful and I hope Atari does more, especially Berserk & Dark Cavern. I'm also happy to hear Erin say Lightning bugs instead of fireflies 😊
Black widow should have an end level enemy that once you defeat you rap them up like real spiders. Than you can get specific things from sucking their innered out.
Crystal Castles is an excellent choice for a makeover like these games! I remember playing that game as a kid and for some reason it stuck with me because it seemed so unique. I played again eventually when I was older and wasn't as impressed lol but I'd still love to see it get remastered like the games in your video!
I only found out about Crystal Castles recently because my local game store had it in box for 8 dollars. Now I think it is one of the best games I have played for atari.
Centipede is my favorite of these. But Id def do the PC version and use a trackball. I was thinking about Millipede. Like how they could vary it up from Centipede. Here’s hoping they do it.
Major Havoc, Star Raiders, Crystal Castles, Breakout, & Tempest would all be GREAT games that could get the Atari Recharged treatment! I would also like to see remakes or re-imagenings of games like Xenophoboa, Smash TV & Gauntlet on modern consoles.
Hi Erin I have the Atari 50 anniversary bundle , the version of centipede is the classic one, not the recharge one I have went into game setting but can't figure out how to disable 2 player, playing it on the switch , would be able to figure it out, thanks for response.
I think it would be interesting to see space invaders & E.T get the recharged treatment. Why would I want E.T to get the recharged treatment ? Simple because that game was branded as the worst video game of all time so it would be nice to see if it could have some kind of improvement done to it.
Even though it's a sponsored video, thanks for the heads up. I totally played the originals in the arcade and on the 2600. I'm down for a "recharged" version. I usually know what games are coming out, but i missed these. Added them to my Steam wishlist.
I was actually really surprisingly I enjoying playing the Atari Recharged series of games like Black Widow, Centipede, Missile Command and haven't played yet Asteroids on my Nintendo Switch.
Erin you should totally cover arcade reboot games Frogger He's Back on PS1 Asteroids Pong Space invaders Etc and see how they stack up to the original and if they are worthy reboot
I was definitely interested in checking out the asteroids recharged, it looked pretty cool as an update but also keeping the retro vector look! not familliar with black widow but I'm at least curious to play centipede recharged. cool to see that these support score leaderboards, definitely a great feature to include for these arcade throwbacks!
I've never really been big into the score attack thing, though I did really like Millipede on the NES for its wild palettes; in that spirit, I do really like the neon vector look here. The music from this sounds great; reminds me of a Shantae game.
@@ErinPlays The first one on Game Boy Color can be stupidly expensive, if it's no longer on any of Nintendo's digital services (my lady got it through something like that for her 3DS), and it's a little janky, but I don't remember if that one's vital to the story, since it's been a while. The rest are relatively cheap and easily available, though; I got the rest pretty cheap at GOG. They are a bit less linear than the stuff you might usually be into, but they're fairly structured, so that might not be a dealbreaker for you.
The actual asteroids look more like mouldy cheese cartoon drawings from Ren & Stimpy. Stick to the king of Asteroids updates....Super Stardust AGA on an Amiga 1200 or better.
Every time I see your Vectrex I feel an overwhelming surge of jealousy. God that is a thing of beauty. This is awesome. Goes to show the genius of these games considering these came out in the 70s and early 80s with the vast limitations they made the gameplay timeless. As for games I'd add to this Yars Revenge immediately jumps to mind. If I could get my wish, but with licensing I don't see it happening, Star Wars Arcade!
