Versace has always had the best soundtracks.

I think that's my favourite fashion show and collection of ever in fashion. I'm sicilian, gay, and I come from a little village in the hinterland, my life story is similar to Gianni's one. Here Versace captured the essence of his work, the aesthetic, the values of the extreme southern Italy. That's the Versace Manifesto: breaking the good taste of the North Italy that consider the South inferior and miserable with an incredible taste. I open the eyes to the catholic people in provinces with clothes that speak and tell the lust and the body.

some fun facts I learned, MANY looks from this show were cut, including an vibrant orange crystal mesh dress (incredibly similar to look at 12:12), a bunch of colorful print jackets with matching beaded and embroidered dresses (in similar tones to dress at 11:57 but more vibrant and colorful), and most dramatically and importantly a very large ball/wedding gown was cut from the finale and meant to be worn by Amber Valleta but went unused (which checks out because the gown was fairly large and cumbersome, and it didn’t really match the rest of the finale gowns or the dress Naomi wore). Also this version of the show cuts some very notable looks. The iconic pink dress on Ester had a matching version in light purple with delicate stone beading and embroidery in a contrasting blue, Debra Shaw also wears blue version of the ruched dress (literal copy of look at 14:38). A white and black look with a leather bodice between Amber and Debra at 11:51 is similarly absent.

my mother at 8:57, apparently there were other varients of the cross oroton like dresses- a pink and blue. The pink and blue were too 'different' than the other collection - i seen a pic of it however disagree! It was just a different colour. Beautiful master full collection, unbeatable and way ahead of its time. Gianni sent women and men down the runway like gods of power beauty and wealth. No designer competes with Gianni and im of course not hating on any other designers but to me other designers are boring. Back in the late 80s and 90s youd see people dress like, true characters, and today ......... you tell me haha. Great upload though!!!! LOVE ITTTTTT!

hi everyone, versace historian here (i have all his books, books about him, etc) before naomi eventually was selected as the bridal look for the finale, it was originally kirsty hume who was supposed be the bride since donatella recommended her since it was her first time in paris doing a haute couture show but gianni refused because she was “too skinny and pale”

Debra Shaw cheapens the cast. She absolutely jinxed Gianni
