Here’s a snippet of a documentary film from the year 2009 where Christopher Hitchens is on a backseat of a car with Doug Wilson expressing his thoughts on the Fine-tuning argument. Hitchens also shares an interaction that he had with Richard Dawkins.
About Christopher Hitchens:
Christopher Eric Hitchens (13 April 1949 - 15 December 2011) was a British author and journalist who is widely regarded as one of the most influential atheists of the 20th and 21st centuries. Author of 18 books on faith, culture, politics, and literature, he was born and educated in Britain, graduating in the 1970s from Oxford. In the early 1980s, he emigrated to the United States and wrote for The Nation and Vanity Fair. Known as one of the four horsemen of New Atheism, he gained prominence as a columnist and speaker. His epistemological razor, which states that "what can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence", is still of mark in philosophy and law. (wiki)

As a Christian I recognize something deeply tragic about what Hitchens said here. I would care less if there were no people around who believed in Islam or any other religion and would celebrate if every atheist believed in God. "Somehow If I could drive it out of the world, I wouldn't" ... yet he cannot quite explain why. It is as if he has been fighting against God all his life, but didn't want to win. That doesn't sound like someone that doesn't believe in God.

I look at the way Britain is going today, and we need Christianity now more than ever.
@jakoblund2063
I have a feeling that Hitchens could be with God now. I certainly hope so. God bless him.
@leesurridge2947
This is weirdly emotional, considering that his brother came to believe in the existence of God.

Can't even say RIP for Atheist you have no idea where they'll be

I wish the Hitch was still around today. I didn't agree with everything he said or believed, but his voice is missed from the world.

Compare this to how Dawkins feels about religion now.

You drove him to it. Nonsensical god debates drove him mad. There's something, but all that's here is rainbows, beautiful wonders, terrible volcanoes... That's all we know now. Never trust any ones subjectivity. They all went air time or likes.

Now he knows he was wrong.

The only thing I would say to Hitchens in his arguments of the non existence of God is that there is no victory in being right. Why waste so much effort in trying to argue for it? There would be nobody to agree with you after death anyways. That being said I disagree with Christopher Hitchens but I do respect him.

It broke my heart seeing this man completely bald from taking chemo and dying a slow death while some so called "believers" were rejoicing in the fact that he was losing his life and
@blank557
Hitchens gave a backhanded compliment to Christianity, by recognizing it was the best culture to live in of all the others.
@mickeyrube6623
Ironic that Dawkins thought Hitchens was crazy for not exterminating religion.
@noonefromnowhere99
I'm an atheist and I can acknowledge the good things about religion. Especially when I see what Hitchens did not - today's society with the state creation of it's own religion.
@gtkona1608
He forced many to deeply analyze their faith in a way that they otherwise would not have done.

His mother died in a suicide pact with a priest. Hitchens vengeance was fierce.
@jamesart9
Folks seem confused by this, but for me, it is that despite Hitchens' massive intellectual capacity, he still has the humbleness to know that he does not know everything
@thoughtful1233
1) This isn't "caught", it's footage for a documentary.
@Atarius
Wonder what he would say with Dawkins saying he prefers Christian society over others recently.
@randywise5241
Now Dawkins is understanding why a Christian values nation is a good thing. They spend so much time trying to destroy something they to need. God is not the problem, how people choose to worship is sometimes. Name one virtue that atheism brings the world.
