The argument falls more towards the atheist side than the theist one. The ONLY thing a theist would have correctly predicted is there being a creator but that's it. There would be NO afterlife, god would NOT exist in the sense they predicted and atheism is just a lack of belief in any kind of creator because there is no evidence, but this would be the evidence. Then there is the fact that just because we were simulated, doesn't mean they are so now you need to find out the origin of their existence. The simulation fallacy is that a simulation cannot be simulated by another simulation to infinity, there MUST be an origin point in which everything was birthed with NO creator so atheists win even if we are in a simulation. Besides, in a simulation, our purpose would be to entertain our creators meaning all the "moral" teachings preached by religious people are complete nonsense because they would be going against "god's" ideals because it is far more likely that they'd enjoy watching chaos and destruction over lovey-dovey peaceful sh*t. That stuff gets boring quick and is not fun to watch.
