Sounds like that would work but I have not tried it. Basically anything that will seal it up and then come back out without leaving a mess or working its way into the crank/bearings will do the trick.
Do you absoloutely have to do this??? I've been seeing a lot od videos of what seems like people not doing this, just putting the piston on and cylinder. ???
On the Athena website it specifically says “This cylinder kit can be installed without making any changes to the engine crankcase.” I don’t know exactly why he cut that thing up😅
