I don't know about Justinian II's younger brother, but my guess would be that he may have died young or that he got murdered during one of the two coups against Justinian. From what I understand, Liberius was quite old, think 80 or so years old. He had a relatively modest army with him in Visigothic Spain and he was not able to conquer the whole kingdom. Unless the support for his person were truly outstanding, revolting at that point would leave him without a supply line or path of retreat and it is also possible that some of his subordinates would not have followed him into revolt.

@@ThersitestheHistorian yes It’s clear Heraclius died some time before Justinian II but I was curious as to the manner of his death and circumstance, but thanks for the reply, also when Talking about Marcellinus Felix, I meant early on in his life, like before Justinian attacked Italy, perhaps around the time Belisarius was in Africa

@@JoseZamorano-c8h moving on without Sean 🐣 is like swallowing without a uvula. It can be done but shouldn't and just feels weird.
