@@kittycat2983 with as soft and emotional as this team is to this point (except DJ), Lively probably would've ended up a bust over here lol. Dallas with Kyrie was a much better environment for him

It really sounds like the Hawks would be silly not to just take Sarr and let him work his way from talented young role player to hopefully eventually starter.

I really hope the Hawks keep Trae! I wouldnt want Ingram normally, but if we get another good forward/wing as well, i wouldnt mind it too much (as long as Trae is NOT traded!!)

Hey Brad, the best player in this draft is Kel' El Ware. Shades of Patrick Ewing. He should be the Hawks pick. He would supplant Young as the teams best player very quickly which is great for Trae's title chances.

I mean you would think rebounding would be easier to teach. Instincts, positioning, timing. Unless Sarr does not want to do the dirty work, it will come in time.

Trading for BI would only make sense if we're intending on extending him. And giving BI 50+ mil/yr would just illustrate we're not a serious franchise. Hard pass.

Hawks are in a bad spot as far as getting value for what they would trade, but I think they need to pick sarr for the resin that then they could get rid of Capela and still have two options at center with sarr and okongwu. This means they can trade Capela and can improve at another position. It would take money of the book and also give them more flexibility.

I like the Trae to Spurs trade rumor HAWKS RECEIVE: 4TH OVERALL PICK 8TH OVERALL PICK 2027 IST ROUND PICK KELDON JOHNSON JULIAN CHAMPAGNIE We may need to add Bogi. I would draft Sarr #1, Edey #4, best shooter available at #8. Next we will need to do a package deal to clear up roster space for Vit and rookies.

Bogie for Wendell Carter and filler (Joe Ingles)? Would you do it? At power forward Carter fills a lot of holes.

@@LockedOnHawks with skills that could easily translate to PF. Players move to different positions all the time depending on team makeup. Carter has way better offensive skills than any of OUR bigs and since he's not a great shot blocker you pair him with Capela/Sarr just like Towns with Gobert. Of course you could run lineups where he is the C and Jalen is the PF depending on matchups.

@@25chrishallHe's just a versatile player. Carter does well enough in switches/ has quick feet against drives and also has the strength to battle on the block (there's actual footage out there). No current ATL player combines these traits with the offensive versatility that Carter has. He'd basically be what Al Horford was next to Time lord in Boston (remember that finals team with the #1 defense?) but CAN play the 5 if called upon. Is Durant really a 4? Is AD really a center? What about Draymond? What is he...really?

I say trade Trae and keep DJ. I just don't believe players get along with Trae and whoever else you bring in will have trouble with Trae. Also, we are not making the playoff next year so if you trade DJ, Trae will demand a trade next summer so you would lose both anyway. I think DJ wants to stay here so would stick it out longer.
