I love how Atlanta toes the line between surrealism and realism. Somebody who’s never been robbed might look at this and see how absurd it is, but somebody who’s been through that would see it as completely realistic. Atlantic does such a good job at pointing out the absurdities of the world we live in and of the experience of people who didn’t grow up with privilege. Idk if that makes sense

There is nothing good that will come from grabbing that gun. You are on PROBATION in the middle of a drug deal. The goal is to do business quickly. Say you're fighting over the gun and it goes off...someone hears calls the cops...or even worse a cop is driving by...or even way way way worse one of you gets shot. Just let it go and live to fight another day.
