Atlanta rapper Young Dro, who has an organization for the youth focused on promoting peace, visited 12-year-old Ja'Quavious in the hospital who was shot multiple times while trying to sell water with his brother. The rapper said he wants to mentor the child and help with his medical bills.

⁠⁠⁠@@horseygurl143You don’t have to have means to mentor the youth! I took kids in all the time with a teacher assistant job! Shid I raised a little girl after her mom died in a car accident! She wasn’t even related to me🤷🏾‍♀️ I’ve worked for the Boys and Girls Club, Group home and shelters for low pay🤷🏾‍♀️ The best feelings ever is to see these young children grow up to become great adults who didn’t have a great childhood! U can always volunteer for free and see what a big difference it could make in a child’s life!

Boxing!!! Promote boxing 🥊 . Boxing takes dedication and end’s with rewards… promotes hard work and dedication!!! Plus anger management and a little show boating… my baby boy is extra short and is always dealing with a bully. I teach him how to lay the bully out when necessary and to control his thoughts. The kids need US NOT THE INTERNET. As of right now we’re all losing a very important battle.

They have a boxer out of Atlanta that just won a title. Hopefully these young guys are watching and being inspired, because I agree. Boxing would help a lot, although I'm sure lessons would cost money that many may not have in this economy.

@@LuciaAIArt we are talking about kids out here being violent and getting into criminal activities. Of course they, like everyone else, need to read, but they've been exposed to books via school, and I doubt some of these kids have been interested in books the ways that they should. The art of boxing is probably something that they haven't been exposed to yet, and could probably release some of that adrenaline and give them purpose. They have libraries in these neighborhoods so that access and exposure is there. You can't force interest in a book

@@rickymoise1374 What part of America are you from? Engaging kids is what it's all about. Down here in Columbus, Ga., they just announced a pretty cool minicamp for high schoolers, and at the end of the camp, they give those who participate $50 for young people to stay busy.

The artists don't get paid for that, unfortunately. These record labels have clear agenda's, and they pay these artists more to promote violence. A kid in poverty is looking for a way out, and not thinking about how it's affecting his/her peers. The labels prey on that.
