Hurricane John is a candidate next year. On the East Pacific. Hurricane John of 1994 lasted a full month but wasn’t retired because it did minimal damage and caused no casualties.

Intrestingly this list of names has had the fewest retired names, Only Hurricanes Gilbert and Joan 1988, Hurricane Kieth 2000, and Hurricane Sandy 2012 were retired from this list.
