Netflix's Atlas (2024) starring Jennifer Lopez is an AI movie that tries to do everything that's already been done by other Scifi movies and fails at it in the same old way.
J Lo is suppose to be this super genius that can casually beat an ai in chess while watching the news. But the after they crash land on the planet she can't make any decisions for herself and always relies on Smith to make decisions for her or make him wait for her to give into what he wants. The only thing she decides for herself is to not evacuate when Smith says to.
Haha, I guess she was really just emotionally unstable to the point where she can’t even function under stress. And the beating AI at chess was absolutely ridiculous 😂 Unless her AI at home was just a very rudimentary one…

In case this hasn't been mentioned yet, this movie heavily rips off the video game Titanfall, so much so that it felt like a script that got rejected so they mashed it together with the other AI nonsense. Even lines like the "trust me" bit, and protecting the pilot at all costs are from the game. PS: Love your content!
I feel like I've seen that plot motivation in... more than one AI movie/tv show. broadly, the idea that humans are really the greatest threat so that's why the AI turns against humans, and more recently the idea that it's climate change specifically.

If you want to watch a good AI movie that went under the radar, go watch The Creator. Out of all the ones I’ve seen I think it takes the most realistic approach
Oh yes! I’ve seen The Creator, and it is indeed much better than this movie 😂 I remember it also exploring the concept of AI dying, which is pretty tough to tackle imo because it gets into the whole can AI be sentient/if you download a brain is it still the same person…
@@JessInDreams7I’m surprised you’ve seen that movie. I’m a big sci-fi buff and I only saw it recently. I guess you really have just been watching all the new stuff over the past few years. You know I still don’t have a grasp on what films you like, seems you don’t do horror or action/ adventure. Fantasy seems off the table. If I had to say anything, seems you like drama and world building. Mad Max was action but it had a cool setting so it’s an exception.

Tbh, I don't even know what I like🤣I started out with Marvel, which I enjoyed during its peak, but I don't think I'm hardcore into action/superhero movies. Definitely like Sci-fi, particularly AI, because I was obsessed with it in college and actually wanted to go into it as a career. I also like really sad movies 🤔 Lol, it sounds all over the place. For horror though, I really have to be in the mood for it. Drama and world building sounds up my alley!
@@JessInDreams7 that does seem like you’re all over the place, but at least you’re not limiting yourself. I hate musicals, but I’ll still enjoy a really good one. If you’re looking for a sad, Sci-fi and AI movie definitely go watch Bladerunner and its sequel Bladerunner 2049.
