I just bought this plane and I'm glad to find someone who has the same opinion. This is not PNP! PNP means you stick an RX in and it's ready to go. AtomRC have sent me an unfinished kit which also includes some electrical parts. It's also annoying that most people on RU-vid received the RTH version for free for review and that one is almost completely assembled. So you'd think the PNP would be assembled too, it just wouldn't come with the flight controller installed. I don't mind building kits, but kits should be called kits.
Wouldn't be so bad if the manual wasn't terrible either I found out the online .pdf version at least has a wiring diagram for the wing quick release system. But in the one they sent me it's literally just "Step 5: Install wing". @@tdogrc
I hear you, and they should communicate that to you. If It was up to me, they would do minimal setup, including not glueing the two halves together. With those two pieces apart, you would easily have the option of mounting lights, antenna anywhere on the fuselage. Maybe this was a compromise between our two tastes :)
Just received my Swordfish PNP today. I was suprised to find the electronics not installed either. I wrote Daniel at AtomRC thinking I got a cheaper version. Can't wait to hear what he says LoL! Luckily found your videos. Great work and very helpful! Subscribed 👍
@@WR3NDHe probably didn’t get back to him :(. My swordfish came with very warped wings and Daniel didn’t respond until I took my complaint to PayPal, then he offered me $10 off. Pay pal took my side after I submitted pictures.
I've noticed that a lot of viewers aren't subscribers, as you say it costs nothing but shows support for all the effort that goes into creating a video like this 👍
you'd probably get more subscribers if you had the camera spot on the assembly ( this video it's at an angle that's difficult to follow) with some meaningful instructions as you go along...just my .02
@@jpicazioThat is so cool you would share the secret to your successful channel here. We are lucky to have you in the comments section sharing your proven wisdom.
Alright, how did you get the isolation off the wires that run to the leds?? I keep snapping them off even with just my fingernails. Can't belive I'm stuck on such a simple thing
