Great flight, and very enjoyable to watch with the narration! Thanks for the kind words too, I'm happy that I'm able to help. It looks like you're getting along nicely with the Swordfish at this point! lol
Check your NAVI flight controller to make sure that it has not come loose frrom the plywood. Mine came loose after one minor hard landing. I think AtomRC has it glued to the plywood with contact cement which may not be enough to do the job.
I noticed on mine that the Swordfish v-tail elevators (whatever you call them), the control surface moves slightly faster on the left side, in one direction from center, then the right side moves faster in the opposite direction from center. Basically, the left and right v-tail control surfaces do not seem to be moving symmetrically from center (not sure if that is an iNav setting or what). I had assumed ATOMRC set that up properly. It is subtle, but it seems to fly ok like that. My settings on iNav are such that it goes straight up extremely steeply. No issues launching at all. Hopefully, you can tell if your flight controller is showing level when you plug it into iNav. FYI - your fonts look great. I have issues with mine (artificial horizon and return to home arrow). Whatever combination you and BP are using works.
The antennas provided by Walksnail are known to be not very good. I'm a big fan of the TrueRC antennae. On the topic of the plane rolling on launch, I was seeing that the motors were not starting simultaneously on launch. I applied an idle speed when armed set at 1200 and that seems to have solved the problem of the rolling after hand launches. The motors will still run all the way down to 0 when you lower the stick after you exit the launch sequence.
I believe I may have found the issue. I have two patch antennas on my ground station that are setup as RHCP and the Walksnail System is LHCP. I will be making the necessary changes and do another flight to see if the Mbps increases.
It's as soon as he arms. Signal drops from 4 to 2 and Mbps drop by a half. I suspect it's the 'calibration issue' suggested by Walksnail which seems to be affecting the majority of their VTXs now. Two of my four VTXs have this problem.
@@wattage2007 I believe you are on the right track with the calibration issue. I do know there was a piece of documentation that Walksnail has and there is a video here on RU-vid explaining how to for a lack of better terms calibrate the system. With that said, I have been able to get out a fair bit of distance with not to much problem. The bitrate seems to hold pretty solid even though it drops in half after arming.
