In this video a thorough look at the Atoto S8 10.1" Screen Car Stereo (S8G2103M) with Apple Carplay, Android Auto and 32GB Storage. Review and installation into my Volvo V70 wagon. This head unit features Apple Carplay, Android Auto and has DSP (digital signal processing.) This a nice upgrade from the A6 Pro, Atoto's previous top of the line head unit.

Given that the screen is sticking out from the unit anyway, it would be nice to have a way to angle the screen towards the driver. None of the ones I've seen have that. Maybe make some kind of bracket extension ... Also, a way to put it in portrait mode would be nice.

Didn't you have to struggle getting the monitor ribbon attached? I didn't notice you covering that part.

Good review. Thank you. I still have the A6 Pro. I did the same thing, put one in my cart, but didn't buy. Sadly, they didn't offer me a free one. It look like it might be a keeper.

Excellent vid CountlessTech,,, I would love to put it in my sports car but it would be too big. I will end up putting it in the Hummer. 1. How does this compare to the Atoto F7? 2. As it got AM/FM radio? ok yes it does 3. Can you Download apps from the play store? 4. Has it got a (video recorder) DVR to record from the front and rear cameras?

How would one know which harness to get, obviously one for the model car one has, but there seems to be a jungle of different ones? I'm also confused to if one would be able to keep the steering wheel control and have them working with a unit like this. Yes I am total beginner to everything HU related 😆 Also I saw that in newer versions of Atoto S8 they include some type of face plate for the 2 din unit, would you still recommend to get a separate faceplate/facia for the car model?

Just bought mine couple days ago also. What issues you have with it. I haven't installed mine yet. Been redoing. Wiring and stuff.

Screen is really bright probably because of it’s size, you can adjust it dim, but still bright at night. Also had an issue with the track advance buttons not working with my Amazon music app.... probably an Amazon issue tho

Día you noticed a difference in sound quality between genuine Volvo radio and the ATOTO a8?

Yes I did. I have the base model radio in my Volvo with the CD cassette and stereo. It’s the HU613 model. There are higher end models that probably sound pretty good but this one always sounded pretty blah and flat. When I install the Atoto it really came to life the speakers are much more crisp definitely sharper sounding a little better bass. Not perfect by any means because these are old speakers and I probably can use some newer speakers in this car.
