Hey Grant, thanks a bunch for making these videos, they are really helping me in studying for my ATPL. One comment regarding the summary, which I hope to be helpful to others: you state that the summer solstice is reached when we are closest to the sun. I find it hard to put into words, but essentially your statement is true in your stationary sketch but not necessarily true in real life, considering our elliptical path around the sun. The solstice is day with the highest inclination towards the sun (which is the closest distance in your sketch), which is not necessarily the day with the shortest distance between earth and sun. Keep it up, cheers mate! 👍

Great video! I would like to mention that in the summary you the time for aphelion and perihelion mixed up.

You're totally right. The June solstice occurs when the earth is furthest away from the sun at the aphelion.

@@makchas1 I see. When I was doing the exams it was Aircraft General Knowledge (AGK) which covered electrical systems, airframe and engines. It'll basically the same subject I think. I'm currently writing the scripts for meteorology and next I think will probably be radio nav based on the votes on my previous poll. It will still be a community decision though so make sure and vote on the poll when the time comes.

My harddrive wiped out all the original edits at the end of last year so unfortunately I can't edit the volume of the music. I have listened to feedback and the new videos have very low or no background music at all.
