Nice 1st leg and yeah think the rain is making your truck skid abit especially with the tandems added weight, nice recovery though on the 1st one.

The random skid is I think a relatively new thing. I was getting it in Scandenvia in ETS2 once coming down the hill with logs in the rain. I think it's the do with wet road physics, if you have a heavy load you can lose traction in the rain if you're not careful or something like that I think seems to be how it works.

It's definitely only happening in the rain, and has happened a few times when cornering. But this time it was when I was going totally straight, which was odd. I wonder if I had just nudged the steering wheel as it happened. I don't remember, but I might have been making one of those countless micro-adjustments drivers make to stay in their lanes. In any case, it sure woke me up and created a moment of blistering panic! :)

(8 mins in) The NPVs always slow down for curves. The map maker made such a sharp 90 degree curve they had to slow so much that they had to stop for each other.

You can remove ATS Expansion (Formerly Montana Expansion) from that list of mods I recommended. It's still good, but it's going paid on a subscription basis. I only use paid mods if they are a one time payment for permanent ownership.

Ouch! So sorry to hear about the accident! That sounds terrible! Those things can take so long to heal from, but it's amazing over time how we can recover. I hope you are back to 100%, if not now, but very soon. As for the accidents and fines, there will be a new episode out tomorrow and 10 might be very difficult to stay under. :)

I watch 6 hour shows and lives all the time, I just take it in bites like you are this trip...lol. I'll watch about 2-3 hours and then do what I need to do and come back to it later. I am looking forward to seeing what they did with Arkansas.

As for the accident you have near end of video, you merged from a traveling right lane onto the exit, where there was a vehicle in the exit lane trying to exit and your last trailer side swiped it.

When i had my game hooked up and was playing this game, how i ran things is after i got the biggest loan and got a truck with the sleeper, i would run the longest runs possible which paid crazy amounts of money which helped me pay off the loan really fast, once had cash saved up i would buy another truck and hire a driver. Once you pay off your loan the money you make its all yours to spend and expand the company, not having to give it back to the bank with interest, from there your company will grow like crazy. My trucks i kept them simple, i had the cat engines, midroof sleep, side chicken lights, 6x4 chassis, 13 speed transmission, and it was all 389 peterbilt. So i didn’t spend that much on buying the trucks.

That sounds like a great strategy for growing fast. I did the opposite in my first main career. I kept buy all the things for my own truck and never had enough money to add trucks to the company. :)

In the wet and you take your foot off the gas your trailers inertia can start pushing from behind and your tyres can lose traction due to the engine breaking and especially in the rain you can loose control like you experienced. 😢

Yes, I can see how that makes sense, but it seemed like such an unusual place for that to happen, at least in the game. I don't think it was the result of me taking my foot off the gas so much as just making a micro-adjustment on the steering wheel.

The cruise control can drop for multiple reasons, either adaptive cruise control is on, you are on an incline or you are accidentally hitting your brakes. Edit: I suggest pressing I on your keyboard until it tells you what your cruise control speed is. If it keeps turning off you may have a problem with your brake pedals

I'm going to check the auto-braking. I think that might be causing the problem. Could definitely be the adaptive cruise control too, for sure.

@@ZillaBlitzPC What I would suggest is before taking apart the pedals, set a little deadzone in the settings for ETS 2 and see if it still happens. If I remember correctly you have the G27 from logitech and its been a common problem for the pedals that logitech make

Ah, yes, that's a good idea. I have the G920 wheel, but I'll take a look at the dead zone as option 2. I think I'm going to fiddle with auto-braking first, see what happens and go from there.@@Xeno2246

Replayed your crash fine, did NOT see a car in either mirror. So, maybe earlier a car had gotten on your bumper and was drafting, and hit you when you slowed like that to get on the off ramp.

Someone spotted a car in the lane to the right, near the back end of the second trailer. I haven't looked that closely at it and it was dark, so hard to see. :)

How about making some part of the video speed up? This way the video don't get that long but still able to see the views. Tbh those skids was a bit extreme. It is feature in the game but not too realistic. Looked more like skiding on ice
