As a 6 year old in 1999 watching The Phantom Menace I loved Jar Jar. And I remember feeling very bummed watching episode 2 the first time when he was barely in it. And I remember just being confused and bored waiting to see Yoda do the flips from the commercial lol

Jango and the clones. The clones were my absolute favorite part of star wars even before either of the animated series, and Jango vs Obiwan is still one of my favorite fights out of all the movies, Jango being one of my all time favorite SW characters

The mystery aspect of Attack of the Clones is simultaneously my favorite and least favorite part of the movie somehow. It's so needlessly convoluted and confusing and the real answers to the questions it asks are only made in The Clone Wars lol. But I do still love the mystery of the movie becasue it brought us to Kamino which I just love and has one of the best themes in the franchise

The only problem the prequels had were the fans, the OT fans were salty that their fan fiction wasn't fulfilled. Forgetting that it's not their decision to make, they bullied actors they didn't like almost to the point of suicide and Jake Lloyd into a life of crime (which is where the Star Wars fandom gets it reputation for being so entitled and impossible to please, the OT fans are some of the worst people I've ever encountered). The prequels are what Lucas wanted to make in the first place; they're a more pure version of his vision, and are therefore better than the OT in every aspect. Regardless of what anyone's opinion is, no one knows Star Wars and how to make it better than George Lucas himself. People may not like the prequels, sure, but only because they're not made like traditional movies and not meant to be watched as such, they were a collection of homages to films Lucas loved as an aspiring film maker; so essentially people just don't understand them and can't handle anything more than the oversimplified hero's journey from the OT which is incredibly outdated now. Yes, cgi from the early 2000's wont look as good as they do now, but without the prequels we wouldn't have any of big budget Mervel movies today because Lucas pioneered the technology to make the cgi as good as it was back then. And without the prequels, Star Wars would've died; forgotten except by a bunch of middle-aged, entitled man children whose selfish hatred knows no boounds. The only reason the prequels got so much hate was because the salty OT fans were the only ones old enough to have access to the internet at the time so they spread their rage, making their opinion the only acceptable one in their eyes

Say what you will about the prequels, but at least they had a plan going in. Unlike a certain other trilogy... Also, full Ruffles cut when?

Hmmm I think Phantom Menace has higher highs and lower lows than Attack of the clones. Episodes 2 just feels a bit unmemorable throughout to me.

Idunno. I grew up with the prequels and when i was young i found the originals boring. Of course i changed my mind as i grew but as someone who didnt grew with the original trilogy i didnt hate the prequels as much as others. I do quite enjoy rewatching them every once a year or so. Eps 1 and 3 are among my favs in the saga, clone wars not so much, that one i find boring as well.

When AotC came out it was the first Star Wars movie I had seen and also the gretest movie for me. Later that summer Empire Strikes Back took the honour of being greatest.

Ah, Episode II... it holds a weird place for me. Broken in a ton of ways, but also came out at an age where it blinded me with Natalie Portman's abdomen, and Jango Fett's sonic charges. Now I still have a bit of nostalgia for some of the stuff it led TeenMe into. It was my first DVD, I remember getting super stoked to get the action figures of Clone Troopers and Jango and more at the time. ...now I still put the movie on from time to time just to have fun poking at, especially the love plot and how it gives huge amounts of Vibe Whiplash inside of conversations. Still enjoyable in different ways, but glad it's around regardless. Hahaha Other notes @ vid: -Oh my god, I forgot about those Lays character pieces. -Ahahaha, that contrast between Mace telling him to have faith and getting his hand cut. Got me -Ki Adi Mundi' s thumbhead tho -Hey! At least this all kinda built into TCW's show! ...which wasn't great, really, until it WAS great later! #TheRuffleAlliance

Attack of the Clones is a great movie, it has flaws but I don’t see it as “needing fixing to be good” It’s definitely not a mess It has some of the best battles and scenes in Star Wars with no dull moments It aged well and the effects look fine and the prequels fully understand Star Wars It’s definitely not nor considered to be the worst Star Wars movie Seriously it is one of my favorite movies and has so many great fights and moments

I love episode 2 but I must admit it's purely for the clones, I LOVE the clone troopers and it's probably why my favourite star wars games include republic commando and the original 2 battlefronts.
