Continuing with your fantastic work on this cue, I'd be delighted to see a score/analysis for 'The Chase through Coruscant'. Since I heard that cue 18 years ago, it been my mental soundtrack for any moment of exhilaration or thrill (or when I'm trying to alleviate moments of banality). Thanks for the upload!
The way some of this is written (particularly the suspensions at 1:43-1:49) makes me wonder if he anticipated a lot of trouble from the music editors and wanted to leave some room for loops and cuts, lest the score be thrown out.
Is it just me, or does the music sounds a lot like a more complex version of "Rey's Theme" from Episode VII when the scene changes to Tatooine? Especially at 3:36
Awesome trombones parts. What a brilliant, masterful orchestration. But the orchestra level is very important for the original sound. A few orchestras over the world can do it!
I notice Williams often writes little interjections using tuned drums as almost an extension of the timpani. I wonder if the tunes drums mean something like roto toms or something else
