If Mikasa had not recklessly rushed in, I believe Levi would've completely annihilated the Female Titan! That emblem that Levi gave to Dieter was actually Petra's. You see Levi earlier in front of one of the bodies with blonde hair doing something. Then later you see Petra's body being thrown off the carriage, and Levi looking really sad in that moment. That and Ivan's body was never recovered so that emblem couldn't have been his. A thankless job indeed! And now Eren has to be handed over to the MPs because this expedition failed to produce results for him. That was the ruling back during the trial. If he failed to prove his usefulness to humanity.

His ankles weren't weak, it was just with how fast he was moving by saving Mikasa, landing on his feet like that would break something

I just realized Levi probably took that patch from Petra, and just said it was Ivan's.

I think Levi and Petra definitely had something special going. Here is why I think that: last episode when Levi was passing his dead squad, he stopped and looked at Petra far longer than the others. Also the body in which he is cutting out the insignia from, is definitely pretty small compaired to those beside it. When they are throwing away the bodies they show Petra's body. Last but not least Petra's father then comes to Levi talking about marriage of all things. After realising these things, the episode became so much more emotional to me.

the scene with Erin just sobbing on the wagon with mikasa holding his hand made me cry. It was so realistic and just heart wrenching. The hics and him trying to hold it in was exactly how someone cries and it felt so real. He felt immense guilt for the death of his comrades. He trusted them instead of himself and he sadly made the wrong choice. The way he broke down was just heartbreaking.

That patch that Levi gave to the guy was most likely Petra’s not Ivan’s 😔

The badge isnt ivan's..it was petra's if km not mistaken. Since ivan's body wasnt part of the ones that were wrapped, and we saw levi cutting it the badge with a knife on what appears to be petra'a corpse. This means levi gave up his only memory of petra so that dieter or whoever that asshat's name was could have some peace.
