I rembember getting spoiled by a title of a youtube video called "Life of Levi Ackerman" and I went "HOLD UP WHAT" and went searching if I remembered Mikasa's last name correctly or am I trippin lmao. Didn't want to spoil myself more so after checking that I didn't google anything and avoided youtube. I was slowly loosing my mind until S3 came out and everything was explained lol.

2:40-3:05 this is one of the best animated sequences I've ever seen. It was actually done by only one guy, Arifumi Imai. Took him 3 months lol. He's responsible for most of the godly animation from season 1-3.

One of the things that make AoT awesome is that if you pay attention or have a good memory, you will be rewarded sooner when you figure out things on your own; but even when you don't pay attention or forget certain details, you'll still be rewarded later when everything is spelled out for you and your mind is still blown. It's really a great show for reactors since you see their excitement and shock either way, whether it's sooner or later.

lol their not that bad, just genuine reactions. It's nice to see people who are still trying to get sold on the show, given when others watched it the hype helped oversell it. They may be resistant cause the show just started, much like people who still call demonslayer/jjk/ect MID, but the series aren't over. IMO demon slayer is simple but simple is nice ever once in a while and the take that it's just good animation doesn't work since the animation is necessary to express the story's feel IMO, sound, etc. JJK also gets called ehhh but the next seasons should hook naysayers. AOT's 3 season part 2 should forever hook the team IMO. Till then they're still on the fence. besides surj and thats fair. So you'll get a lot of knee-jerk comments on the plot, like a friend who nitpicks a famous movie youv'e been looking forward to and misses the forest for the trees on why you liked it.

On my first watch I never got the Ackerman reveal because I didn't realize it was a reveal. I remember seeing in like character popularity contests "#1 Levi Ackerman" or seeing him listed with that last name on Wikipedia etc. It never seemed like a reveal and went over my head because I assumed we always knew it. It's hard to keep track of when you're told something if you already knew it. It's not until it's spelled out in a few episodes that I realized it was a reveal

I’m not 100% but I believe when the guy they’re torturing talks about all the people they’ve silenced over the years, he says “a stupid couple who tried to fly” this is a reference to Armin’s Parents who tried to use a hot air balloon to scale the wall.

I love how Sasha is always protecting someone, it is the second time she protects armin with her body but people don't really pay much attention to that...it's these dettails that makes this a tier S show and a tier S+ rewatch.

pat and nicki just don't appreciate the writing enough. isayama is giving these characters real human emotions and thought processes. it's a good thing that these characters aren't shallow robots, and that scene adds to jeans and armins character. there are sooo many perspectives in this show and all of them could be agreed or disagreed with. they're morally grey on purpose. the characters aren't gonna do what you personally think is right, because they aren't you. they are their own person with their own beliefs and morals.

So kenny called levi a runt, yaah fun fact Levi canonically is only 5 foot 1, meaning he's shorter than krillin, vegeta, Edward elric, and everyone on the couch. Also yeah in this episode its finally revealed that levi is an Ackerman, making him and Mikasa some form of cousins

He isn't shorter than Krillin, most sources I can find have krillin at 5foot (153cm)- but in reality he is also animated far shorter than that in comparison to the other characters. DBZ is very inconsistent with its animation- compare sayan saga vegeta to the Android saga for instance...

Yeah that confused me, cause even surj said it but i think he was joking? I assume he's special for watchers at this point by default as being the main protagonist in most stories is special. Add to that he has the key to the cellar, and he is the only titan on their side to fight with. Maybe its a rhetorical like what's so great that eeevvveryone wants him. what's the other big secret but they already heard he can somehow control titans as a coordinate so im not sure.

Kinda surprised even Rana got onto Jean a little for the hesitation. Well me personally at least. Though God that moment is definitely still something. Definitely one of those moments where it's pretty hard to actually think and put yourself in the character's position and not just outright get upset with them for 'messing up'. Like. Haven't killed a single person your whole life and suddenly you're being told ya gotta with no time to prepare for it. Can't imagine for most it's an easy thing to do.

When you're a soldier in any half-way decent military outfit, your Team, your Crew, your Squad, your Platoon, are closer than family. You fight beside them, you fight FOR them, you'd give your LIFE for them. And they for you. That's how combat gets done. Armin didn't hesitate because Jean was his BROTHER IN ARMS. The pain of killing that woman threatening Jean was less than losing Jean. Or Sasha. Or Connie. Or Mikasa, who is practically his SISTER. When you lose someone in your Unit, someone you've lived with, served with, fought with side-by-side for YEARS, it's a feeling like losing your closest loved ones, like your Mom or Dad.

People who missed it the first time around usually pick it up when it's reiterated again later. It'll be more funny when they freak out when the name is mentioned again as if they never heard it before.
