Hey Danny, the doorman at the Hilton asked how you were when you rolled up… you would think after 45weeks on the road through South America you would’ve picked up a few words of español…👍🏽
The gentleman at the hotel did say "cómo estás" which means "how are you", you basically are doing what you hate by judging someone straight away without giving him a chance, at the very least pull out the translator in your phone. Remember, not everyone in the world speaks English and is very arrogant to judge people in their own country speaking their own language because they don't speak English.
@@MickB52s why do people do this, it's not giving Aussies a bad name, that's the problem, everyone pigeon holes countries etc together! I get it all the time, you Scots are all the same...that's ridiculous. I know plenty nice aussies 👍🏻
The hotel doorman greeted you with “how are you” or como estas. It is a common greeting in Spanish. You perceived him as rude due to cultural differences as you were assessing the situation through your own ethnocentric viewpoint. There was probably some mutual frustration due to the language barrier. Patience and kindness go a long way in these situations.
So true. The challenge is Danny is so self focused he thinks the world orbits around him! The past couple of shows where he arrives at hotels and judges the staff… cringe factor 💯. Embarrassing for us Aussies! Danny a smile goes a long way. Stop being an ignorant narcissistic p$@& and treat others as well meaning human beings.
Danny acted like a dick because he was frustrated. He always says just be nice. Maybe take your own advice. First thing he said to you was how are you and you were rude.
to see you playing in the sand you were filled with the joy of a child. That's the great thing about mental illness when you allow it to feel the mood swings are radical but it was joyus watching you be 5 years old in the sand playing holing hands with little Danny Hayes and that's what i need to do more of this year climb aboard my 22 flhrxs and play in the deserts of Australia and be as gleeful as a kid the happy childhood i remember you have just saved me a fortune visiting my physiologist thanks mate.
The first thing the security guard at the Hilton said to you was "Come esta". English translation is "how are you?" He may of looked like he was having a bad day but he did greet you Danny.
These vlogs sure show us the emotion. I am blown away by the editing and drone shots. Absolutely amazing. It's interesting that a poor country like Peru can have a small restaurant in the middle of a desert and the owner gives you a free meal. You won't find too many places like that in Australia, Canada, the USA that would do that. I find that the people in the poorer countries are happy to have less and find more joy out of living life and being nice to people.
Danni's the only dronner on the tube? You don't get around much do'ya? As far as his editing goes, meet Captain Rick Moore ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LYyf_DijQUk.html
You deserve an Oscar for your melodrama and bullshit. You could make a saga out of a walk to the shops. Having said that it makes your uploads slightly more entertaining.
The doorman started out friendly but you turned on him due to not even learning basic greetings in Spanish. This bad encounter is on you Danny. You know I love your videos but not that part.
@@garym2213 💯💯✊ His past couple of videos he does this. Turns on the staff and acts like a real goose🥴!!! Total cringe factor… but it’s all part of Danny’s act trying to be tough etc… look at me the tough biker… That’s why I like fast forward… and move on past these embarrassing parts of the show.
Yeah he likes acting like people are judging his looks but if you get mad at someone for saying Como estas that is on you. They are not worried about your blanket and helmet, just stop getting so angry every time you pull up to hotel. Also he always wants people to help but then when a doorman offers to help he says "No mate I carry my own stuff, too valuable for you to touch"
Being rude to a guy who is just welcoming you and tell us he is rude is hilarious. It is probably not the way you look but the way you respond. Which is just hostile. The fact that you pay a lot of money does not make a difference. Please just learn 3 words of Spanish and it gets much easier.
haha lots of times I am thinking "oh don't worry about that, Danny" But when you are looking at the hotel and have to add 19 min on cobblestone, your reaction would have been my exact reaction. Really want to do that ride into Lima now. Love the desert.
I'm sure he's like me and a lot of my friends, don't give a s+#t, when your busy, you have no time for that, suppose he could study foreign languages when he stops for the night, sure he has time for that- NOPE
There's a thing called Google Translate and an app for your phone. Can't use the excuse "there is no wifi or service" because you can download most languages before you go anywhere. Then all he needs to do is bring up the app and you both speak into the phone for instant translation.
Bloody unprepared, everywhere he goes. He doesn't even know how many kms to get to his destination.. or the name of the deserted road near the Pacific ocean (I guess it's the "Panamericana")
The scenery was great. Take care of yourself, you recognize the hardships you are going through. You have the courage and strength to reach your goal. It's always nice to be able to accompany you a bit virtually. You live your dream, with everything that hurts. Thanks for letting me be a part of it. Greetings and respect for everything from Germany 😎🤜🤛
This is getting epic now Danny, your drone footage and stunning music choices are crescendoing perfectly, you could even let it roll on!!!….love ya work man🔥🙏
Hey Dan the Dog. Can you do a series where you ride towards your insecurities instead of riding from it? Do it on your new El Diablo. Who knows, you might even meet the devil himself during your ride. Stay away from mirrors as you might just see him looking back at ya.
Well, sitting here In Sioux Falls South Dakota on i90 stuck in a snowstorm watching this video. At least your not battling a blizzard. Love the content you put out Danny 🏍🏍🏍🏍
One of the most bad assed things I've ever seen. To be a couple thousand miles from any real help and go ahead and take off into the dunes of a huge desert on a 1,000 pound Road King. Savage!!
I discovered this channel when you were putting out the Everest series. I have been rewatching it lately along with this new series. As of this episode I think the Everest series is still my favorite, but I do have to say Danny, your production has come a long, long way. I really get the sense with this Bolivia series that I'm on it with you. I'm sure that's the idea. Keep up the good work and thanks for the hours upon hours of entertainment.
So do all guests park out of everyone’s way? I don’t want a fight, but just wondering “who can park at the entrance”? Guests of the hotel in their Ferraris? Danny left his Ferrari at home.. damn!!
The door man correctly judged you on how you acted not how you looked Daniel. This bad encounter is on you. You were the rude one. Learn basic greetings. Your response should have been, I'm fine thank you and how are you.
love the roar of that Harley going through those small streets, the vastness is never ending, that beach drone footage is breathtaking , love the onboard front facing shots we can see so much of what you can , what a beautiful country, those cobble stones not good for a buckled rim, looking forward to next one.
I agree with ‘nobody’s poor in Australia”. Came to Oz 18 years ago from Scotland and, although worked hard, Australia has given me everything I have asked for. Very fortunate to be here.
What awesome scenery. Like another planet and something incredible, I am sure so much better in person. Thanks for sharing your experiences and travels on the road. Fyi, the last gentleman at the Hotel door did ask you how you were doing, you can hear him say "Como stas" in Spanish that means "How are you" in English. It seem like he wasn't sure what to do about the language barrier.
The nice lady in the restaurant clearly said, "You're welcome." If it were me, I think I would have stayed there and married her. She seemed extremely kind and nice.
@@gofigure_1 not anywhere near as breathtaking as the scenery in this podcast! And considering we don’t know each other why should we give a flying fuck about each other, other the basic human well-being wishes. Myopia trumps Youopia any time!
@@mustangx And what if we are ignorant and arrogant? We definitely are not, that is just your opinion, which to us be irrelevant. Perhaps you find that offensive, deal with it, but do not allow it to offend you. You do know the difference, right?
@@mustangx I am as happy as Larry and all that, living the dream. I am not offended in the slightest, for I won’t be. As for “miserable”, the only one I know is that of this French cultural movement. But I gather that showing confidence and determination, does not go down well with the lay person. Sure we have our down moments, but those just make the good times even better.
Daniel, your various video series have run the gambit from hilarious with Parry or Gucci Girl to outrageously adventurous such as England/Scotland and this latest current video. I have thoroughly enjoyed them all and the content and camera work have become top notch. I feel you are yet to be fully discovered. I love it all.
Hey buddy, once again you have delivered an obsoletely awesome video. From India to the UK to the Australian Outback, you are truest meeting the people of the world. Be safe buddy.
Lol, only Danny would get a FREE meal AND THEN complain about it! tell you what is VAST, dannys complaints... thats never ending.. Why be a travel vlogger and then complain about everything during the journey, this makes no sense to me. But clowns are entertaining...BTW i'm pretty sure she said 'you're welcome', see a hearing doctor ya old man...Go million Dollar Whinger!! go !! ;) @ the hilton, 'people are so judgemental' is a bit like 'pot' meet 'kettle' black....think danny suffers from 'its not me its everybody else' syndrome...
Danny you don't just entertain people ... You give them hope & a reason to soldier on. The world is a better place with you being in it ... Thankyou my friend for all your hard work & dedication & keeping it real! 👊 Beanie
When you question, why am I doing this? This is why! Awesome awesome awesome stuff! Always be you ! Lima -Accra at least Lima has traffic lights . Thanks for sharing
Wow, brilliant scenery and nice to see you enjoying the ride, it must've nice to open up the bike and not have all the bends and rain for once. Good on ya mate
Danny, you come waltzing into the hotel expecting the red carpet. Without so much as an acknowledgment. Tone down the attitude. These are humble people. You’re a guest.
