Being able to understand other’s actions coming from their pain, is a great gift.

but shouldn't be confused with "every mean action comes from pain". evil starts where mean actions aren't caused by pain. thats why we need honest, strong, brave and kind man who take care of those evil people.

With every installment of Mother Natalia's presentations, I come away just a bit more enlightened and little more motivated to change my life. We could learn from the self-reflective orientation that is exemplified in Mother Natalia's life and that is taught to us in this video. Introspection can often be a painful process, but without it, life is impoverished and can often be inauthentic. Thank you, Mother Natalia, for encouraging us to look inward so as to live a life more fully and honestly.

I'm sorry you're going through a hard time. It's really difficult to face our wounds and the reality of how people have hurt us. I don't know who you are but I'm also suffering from this so you're alone & Jesus is with us both - desiring to love us in those places and heal us. Will be offering 3 Hail Marys for you!

Ths is truly wonderful. As a person with many wounds it's those around me that suffer when I defensively overreact to small comments etc. those closest to us in fact are the worst targets of the results of our wounds of the heart. We must address this . However equally importantly we need to see the reasons others treat us negatively . I have a friend who is constantly accusing me of " short changing " him . We bought some food to share , weeks later he is suggesting I took more than my fair share. He charges me money after doing me a favor something which most people would do for a friend for free. This initially caused me anger and hurt . Why would a friend constantly try and gain from me . I believe there is a ,wound of heart he has which causes this acting out. My response to his actions is my responsibility and I see it as a test from God . I've lost friends previously from raising these issues with people so I must pray and deal with this situation with patience and grace . Anyhow , wonderful teaching and key to the authentic Christian life . God bless all on your pilgrimage through this difficult and thorny road we call home for now

I’m struggling with the “why” behind some of my sins. Although I know in a vague way, I feel very confused with how I make a good confession with specificity. I’d love a video on this! I want the grace to sun no more but also the healing that comes with the sacrament. I know all my sins that aren’t even confessed (unknowingly) are forgiven but my confessor has asked me to go deeper to know the roots of the problems. Maybe I’ll get Gerry Cretes book?

I am so grateful for you, Mother - you are so honest, which is so helpful. As I work on old wounds, both to understand my defense mechanisms, as well as to forgive others, I do find it helpful to try to understand someone's wounds and defenses, which may have hurt me as a child, and in understanding, be able to forgive more fully - does that make sense?

Thank you dear Sister, yes Jesus is allowing me lately to be aware of my behavior and emotions and how they are triggered by my wounds. How deeply merciful and understanding is our sweet Jesus, we can bring Him all our wounds to be healed. Our brokenness can become our humility and our mercy. It‘s a big gift to be able to become aware of all our wounds, it‘s an invitation to enter forgiveness, receive it and give it. Let us pray we can trust in the Light of Truth that our Holy Spirit gives us, the truth about our wounds will truly set us free.😊 Warmest greetings and blessings +in JMJ+ Angèle

@PintsWithAquinas Mother Natalia, as a Protestant, I love your Christ-like spirit and the insights God gives you. You are truly a blessing, and the timing of these videos is often perfect for what I'm struggling with. But I am also deeply concerned about the message that you keep emphasizing pertaining to the "goodness of our hearts." Could you please articulate your position on this more clearly? The scriptures are clear that: "Our hearts are deceitfully wicked, who can understand them?" The scriptures also teach us that we are not to trust in our own hearts. The message of the gospel is that we aren't good and that we need Christ to redeem us. Trusting in the goodness of our own hearts is what gets us into trouble, and that kind of message will only lead people astray if not clarified. I sense that perhaps you believe that as well, and if so, I would love to hear a more nuanced explanation. Blessings to you!
@halleylujah247
@halleylujah247 Месяц назад
This is a protestant misunderstanding. We should not trust our "heart" meaning our feelings but our feelings are not evil . In fact having feelings is a good thing. We in fact do not know what you stated because it's not true. I am sorry you have been conditioned to believe this but it is not a Catholic understanding. God bless.
@margokupelian344
@margokupelian344 Месяц назад
I mean no offense to this lady but Protestants are quite rigid and limited in understanding the nuances and mysticism of the Christian faith. If we take an example of solving a mathematical problem, a Protestant would only look at the final answer or the result of the problem and make a judgment, whereas God looks at the steps before the final answer and would see the right steps that you took but something might have gone wrong on the way to the final answer to the problem. He looks at the whole picture.
@curiessrose
@curiessrose Месяц назад
@halleylujah247 Thank you for your reply. I am wondering what you think about the above verses, and how you would ( and other catholics) interpret the word heart in the verses that tell us not to trust our own hearts or that the heart is deceitfully wicked. If those things are true, then is it wise to trust in our heart's goodness, or to consider our hearts as good, since Christ came to redeem our sinful hearts and we are still at war with a sin nature? Also, I have not been conditioned to think that feelings are bad. Rather if, in the instances where I know my feelings are at war with doing what is right, I'm to choose the second option. Again, my question to Mother Natalia is one that is seeking clarity on what she means by our hearts' goodness. I never said feelings were bad. Jumping to that conclusion is understandable since there are some Protestants that believe that way, but it only muddies the waters more , rather than helps me gain a better understanding. Understanding is what I genuinely seek at this point, since many days I feel more Catholic than Protestant! Blessings to you as well. Also, I love your name!

The key is to keep in mind what Mother Natalia referenced towards the end of the video. God is the only one who can enlighten our minds and hearts to what is good. Only in humble appeal to God can our heart and mind can be refashioned into a heart that truly loves God and our neighbor. Scripture confirms this. "A new heart I will give you, and a new spirit I will put within you; and I will take out of your flesh the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh." (Ez 36:26 RSV)
@curiessrose
@curiessrose Месяц назад
@johntuturice7874 THIS! Thank you. I wondered if that's what she was getting at. My biggest concern is if someone just hears "trust in the goodness of our hearts" part and walks away misunderstanding the deeper theology. To misunderstand would be dangerous, and miss out on the gospel message. Thank you again! God bless

How do you square that our hearts are good with the Word of God? “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it? I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings. “As a partridge that broods but does not hatch, So is he who gets riches, but not by right; It will leave him in the midst of his days, And at his end he will be a fool.” Jer 17:9-11

Sometimes finding our wounds is the hardest thing. Some go back the womb almost. This is where psychotherapy is invaluable. Not counseling but psychotherapy. This is where one finds where our behavior is coming from. Now we can heal and grow rather than just trying to avoid, which never works To a degree we are at the mercy of our damaged psyche because we are unaware of it. It's why Catholic dogma is so important. Yes I know this act feels so good and so right but the church says Don't do it. I don't why the church says don't do it. when it feels so right, but it does. So I wont do it and then I'll try to find out why the church says what it says. I don't agree with this dogma yet but it did prevent me getting into a whole lot of trouble
