I’m always fascinated by folks, like yourself, who take the time and effort to put together truly amazing content that you would THINK bands of ANY era, but ESPECIALLY bands who hit their peaks back in the 60s and 70s, would look at and say “Damn Keith! Come look at what this chap’s put together on RU-vid about us! It’s pretty freakin amazing! Let’s send this guy a few backstage passes to our 60th Anniversary Tour!” Apparently greed and ignorance is more important than anything else these days. I was born in Oakland, Ca, and my parents were English teachers at San Francisco State. They were also longtime friends with John Szwed who, among a million other accomplishments, published the book ‘So What’ The Life of Miles Davis, and they got to see Davis live with some of his most famous “jazz supergroups” that included people like Coltrane and Shorter etc…at places like The Blackhawk! I am not a jazz guy by any stretch of the imagination but I was blown away to see Davis at the Front Row theater in Cleveland back in 1981 or thereabouts. You didn’t need to be a jazz guy to know genius when you heard it. Szwed also called my dad a couple years before I was born just to tell him about this “group of guys” he’d just seen at The Cavern Club. (I know this probably sounds like BS but it’s not.) I just was lucky enough to have been born to parents who loved ALL kinds of music so I had everything a 13 year old kid could want music-wise. When we moved back to Ohio, my dad put together a stereo system that, for its time, was cutting-edge. Harmon Kardon tube amp, Pro Audio turntable, KLH speakers, Marantz tuner-and HUNDREDS of albums. From Zappa and the Mother’s of Invention, to Bob Dylan, The Beatles, and all kind’s of rock and blues albums like Cream and The Stones, to Flatt and Scruggs bluegrass, and all the great jazz players, Wes Montgomery, Coltrane, Miles (of course) BB King, Sonny Boy Williamson and on and on. All of that was just to say there are lots of people, like me, who love music of all kinds, and there are people like YOU who are pouring their sweat and time and money just to keep that music ALIVE for new generations and and people like me-and maybe you-who grew-up on radio and to think people like DH are so worried about grabbing the nickel at their feet, they don’t bother looking up for a minute to see all the hundred dollar bills scattered ALL OVER that people like you and Rick and other’s have put there for them! Sorry for that long-winded rant. I’m just disgusted by people like you who are constantly being chop-blocked by tiny-minded people who are SO focused on the nickels and dimes. I am so bad with technology that I am useless for any advice that could actually help you get your work seen by the masses. Thanks OW. I greatly appreciate you letting me know this and supporting my efforts. It goes a long way for me. I found out who did the copyright and spoke with them. They own the footage, and for whatever reason do not want any showing of it. I am now editing out the clip (Mick talking about Far Away Eyes in Dallas.

very possible.....this album was so different, and I know for fact took me about 3-5 listens to start liking it. Which is why we are the best critics.

Thanks MA, YT does have issues that they need to look out for, but in my case, I am promoting the work of artists .....there needs to be a better way for Copyright owners to know there is NO profit being made, but more a promotional viewing....and will remove them if they make me.

Someone that owned JJFlash Texas (not Stones) kept flagging me (the piece at the end) until I had to splice the footage until no copyrights. took me 4 times. there is something terribly wrong with the system, It is aggravation to think about the work effort and this is what may happen. I will go till the end!! best

There are other video posting sites. People that are banned from RU-vid use them but not sure which is most popular. I would imagine Facebook would cause the same issues.

I don't understand how people can post an entire song with their own video to go with it and not get in trouble. Maybe they do get taken down and I just dont pay attention.

@@FlipSideCT , I suppose instagram is better than fb but Tik Tok is most popular but their videos are limited to short times. I would create an instagram profile to lead people to your videos as well.

The Stones have been good to me, copyrights but nothing they have done I could not fix.

I found out who had the issue. I worked it out with them to remove my YT Strike, but I have to edit the clip out. I do not know why, but they own it. it is back up
