Can we please appreciate Sierra Ballard and how extra special her gymnastics is this season. Her gymnastics has always been huge, but this year, it is just at the next level.
I'd appreciate someone telling me why gymnastic judges are so obsessed with motionless landings. Given the momentum built up by the gymnasts, I consider a little bouncing on a landing (from vault, bars, or beam) to be inevitable. So, from my layman's pov, the meat of the judging should be whether or not the gymnast landed with her legs close together after the bounce. Complete motionlessness is merely the gravy!
would love to see the judges notes on some of these scores. But I do think LSU is the team who can give Oklahoma a run for their money if they can learn to be consistent in the post season
notice how people are claiming the overscoring was bad again, but they can only really name 1-2 routines 😭 nobody is ever happy. it happens everywhere, not just LSU
EXACTLY! Everyone is just LSU haters!! No one says anything about Florida, Kentucky or OU being over scored only LSU 😂✌🏾 as if EVERY team doesn’t get over scored
@@kirstyb90 Without being an expert, but watching OU being amazing on bars at the last meet and none of them got a 10. I was very surprised. Like how come that Audrey Davis does such amazing barwork and never got a 10 for that in her whole career?
@@julie7035 Oh I completely agree with you about Audrey! Raena Worley has finally started getting her deserved 10's, so I'm hoping the judges wake up to Audrey as well!
i LOVE this lsu team this year I really want to see any team beat OU this year im tired of them winning LOLLL but i’ve been watching lsu this season a lot which i normally don’t do and let me tell you they can definitely give OU a run for there money is they stay consistent and get those 198s!!!
Can we talk about sierra on floor. She is just a performer! Love her doing her routine. Anyway was she really over the line? Because in my point of view she was right on it but not over. Really sad they gave her that deduction because the routine was fire!
Ppl are complaining ab Auburn’s scores being tighter than LSU’s but I disagree. LSU was clean and on fire, and they had some low scores when they weren’t their best (ex. KJ with the 9.775 on vault, Tori with the 9.8 on bars) so I think that’s so unfair. Give LSU their props! Also I just LOVE to see how LSU has become so confident on beam when it used to be such a trouble for them- love Ashleigh Gnat and the confidence she’s put into this group
@kathys9786 I was at the meet and saw her routine from the other side and didn't see the very slight bobble. I didn't see it until I watched this video. So I called perspective. The judge could have missed it from that side. It happens... she still did great!
Anybody else notice that KJ and Amari often have their routines one after the other? Both of them wear the black leg warming things, and it looks great with their black leos imo
they travel. The judges are part of an "association" and are assigned to different meets. i think the team hosting the meet pays for the judges travel or maybe the conference if its a meet between two teams from the same conference
I think this is year LSU win the title. Just so many superstars on their team. Everyone always say they overscored on Vaults and complain about Vault but it seem like their worst event. Unlike some other teams Vault to me dont even seem like the event that carry their scores. They got alot of gymnasts that can push towards 10 on beam. When they aren't their best on beam then they like last years LSU team but when they are in the zone on the beam then they are on a higher level. I think they just needs to improve their vaults and they can do it this year and finally win the championship.
Did anyone else notice the LSU lady sitting next to the judges on beam? She smiled so cute every time a gymnast hit an element - regardless of the team. I couldn’t help but get distracted by her reactions
Because gymnastics is a subjective to what you can see sport. What deduction did you see? Only thing I saw was possibly a tiny balance check. Her beam if anything was a 9.950 of being picky yall get bent out of shape when it comes to .25 for LSU but no other teams like all of them aren’t getting overscored at home 🤣
Am I missing something….? How is Olivia dunne’s floor routine getting enough bonus to start from a 10 with those two passes and one switch leap to switch ring as a dance element? Did I miss something
I know but compare aleah with a double Arabian with a jump and a 2 1/2 twist to front tuck with a leap series. She has enough with 2 passes but Olivia literally does not with those 2 passes for a 10.0 start value…..? Like a double pike in only a D Skill and is 0.1. A front tuck is an A + D which is 0.2. And with the leap series which half the time she doesn’t correctly finish the half turn….I don’t understand how she gets her full start value because she doesn’t have the difficult in two passes alone like other athletes do because she doesn’t throw an E Level skill.
It’s Haleigh, not Hailey. And she’s never wanted to do or qualify for elite which she needs to do to make the standards for the Olympics. It’s too late to do that for the US team at this point
they are hating because they complain about the vault scores every time but LSU vault aint even what go them to these high scores. The difference in their best and worst scores like most teams is usually how they do on the beam but i never see them complain about LSU beam scores its always just nitpicking Haleigh vault.
What is with the judges and their scoring while at LSU?? Haleigh's vault was NOT a 9.9!! She had a low squat landing and a hop to the side. A proper judge would have given her a 9.8 possibly 9.775.. She's an amazing gymnast, stop devaluing her by giving her inflated scores that we know and SHE knows she didn't earn. She CAN get those scores on her own without your help! Let her do it!!!!!
I agree with you both what I don’t understand is what they have against KJ Johnson because her fault was very good and they gave her a 9.775 because she was a little close to the white lines maybe but they gave Amari I think that’s her name and 9.9 and she took a huge step. I personally think KJ‘s was at least a 9.8.
That vault is a 10 start deep squat 0.05tenth step 0.03 in deductions if it was yuchenko fall she would get 9.825 so let's know the deductions like the 1.5 scores differently with steps n squats unless you step back word it's will be overatation so 9.9 is ok
Watch their routines. People compete better at home meets most of the time. The judging was fair all around. Some of LSU scores even deserved a bit higher.
@@unhealthyhomeostasis have you seen the pike half vaults on Kentucky??? all of them are pretty much the same distance as Haleigh’s fault and they score 10s & 9.975 🥲
Her stag jump out of the double arabian was low/a bit wonky, but her difficulty is so high and her performance quality is so good that I can't hate on a ten for this routine! LSU slayed this meet, only scoring I don't really agree with was Bryant's vault 9.9 @@kirstyb90
@@laniepreston1783 I'll admit, I don't like the stag jump out of that pass, it never looks good. I can't imagine how bad her landing is on the double arabian that she needs to cover it with a jump?
I hate their commentary. They are so biased and always build lsu up with the ooohs and ahhs and then always blemishing on other teams and always quick to point our their flaws. Had to listen to the beam and flood half on silent. I only wafched this bc to watch auburn
It's not the scores. It's the same level of performance at the away meets. They have made more mistakes at the away meets. If they did the same performance similar to the home meets, the scores will be similar
They make more mistakes at away meets. The judges also travel around it has nothing to do with home meet judges because the judges are different every time.
Auburn has multiple falls LSU did not. The judges are different every time and travel from different states. They simply have less mistakes at home meets then away meets.
