Kent, I am an old timer living in Australia [ Ex-US-Person ], and I have to say those 2 lads of yours cheer me up no end when I see them tech-chattin and having fun. Priceless youngsters in contrast to so much of the youth that has been radacalized and ruined by a society out of control. Well done to you and the Mrs. for turning out those guys and you are a model for other men to follow on how give time and a part of ones self to the future. All the best and brotherly love from Australia.
I used to work in a parts store for many years and had a co-worker that was a jerk and told me I should be home barefoot and pregnant and other chauvinistic things to me and the other gal I worked with. The guys weren't too keen on him either. He wasn't too bright, obviously, so I prank called him back at the parts counter and had him looking for a radiator for a Corvair. He was looking for quite a while and I got nasty and belittled him over the phone and hung up on him, which made him nuts and he was digging through the book like crazy. I walked back there a couple of minutes later and asked him what was up, he told me he just couldn't find it. I not so nicely broke the news to him that they were air cooled and laughed at him. After other co-workers pulling similar stuff on him, he finally quit. Those little cars hold a special place in my heart.
I'm enjoying watching! So glad you show the world how an interest turned into a hobby that father an sons can enjoy too..I used to drive a 69 GTO with alot of power..And walked the auto junkyards over 30 years ago looking for parts on a for sale car.. those were the days..love love love your fun videos❤️🙏
Matt can tell you anything you want to know about that car he is a corvair master and parts he has anuff parts to build probly 10 cars from ground up. I thank everyone of his family has one and he has some sitting g on top of storage containers he has probly 4, 20 footers full of parts
PG tranny, 110hp Corvair. My two daughters drove a 65 Corvair to high school 20 years ago. They loved it, nobody knew what it was. We have a 63 Corvair Spyder convertible now, still working on it
Really like the auction stuff guy's, thanks for taking us along. Would have liked you guy's to get the GTO but maybe some other time. Thanks for the video.
My dad is a retired factory district service rep for Pontiac Motor Division. He currently has a '66 GTO one owner, all numbers matching 4 speed and a '70 GTO. The '70 GTO was in the movie Home for the Holidays with Robert Downy Jr.
back in the seventies, a friend of mine had a Corvair with push button transmission. I had never seen anything like that before. Now a friend of mine has a car with a rotary transmission even weirder...XD
My dad had a standard transmission corvair that my uncle painted cherry red for him. I loved riding in that car, when he we would take the family out for a drive. Memories.
This is a really great channle i love to see youth being excited about working on cars and costumising them it really is an art also its a skill that nowa days not many people have used to in the owners manuals they told you how to adjust the valves now they tell you to not drink the contents of the battery
Aww, im so glad AJ got his car! It’ll be a project for sure with the no title and keys, but y’all are very smart and will figure it out! I love watching your guys’ videos and seeing y’all grow :)
Absolutely love your channel and the interaction with your boys. Slight correction about Pontiac engines. Pontiac doesn’t have a small block or big block. They’re all the same externally and the differences are internal. All the heads will interchange along with the connecting rods and camshaft. I really enjoy your channel. 👍
OK AJ has good taste. A 1965 or 1966 Corvair convertible. The Power Glide transmission was popular. A three spd or four spd. was optional. the two carb was the lowest hp. This model was known as the second design and was more flowing. The first design was more boxy and the suspension was an improvement. There are several vlogs on you tube on this car.
Given how old A.J. is now. This could easily be the car he drives to high school in. My 5th grade teacher had a 1965 Corvair that was the station wagon.
A few people mentioned Matt's. There's also Clark's Corvair in Mass. I used them for a ton of parts when I owned my 65. They have a lot of the original stampings from Chevy, and claim to be the largest OEM and NOS parts supplier for Corvairs.
I'd say AJ has great taste in automobiles! I HAVE 2 CORVAIRS myself; 63 FC-95 Rampside pickup 1960 700 deluxe car. Clark's Corvair and California Corvairs are two of many great vair suppliers. I'll be looking forward to a video on the corvair. Thanks
Just found your channel this morning. I'm subscribed now. Watching y'all have a blast while I'm drinking coffee. If anyone can watch y'alls video's and not come away with a smile on your face, you need to see a doctor. Dad, keep up the great job. A lot of these vehicles brought back some really fun memories (I'm 69 yrs old).
I don’t know I’ve ever mentioned it in any of the comments, but my grandmother was born just outside of Enid Oklahoma in 1908 when it was still Indian territory, her parents and her uncles and their families were all part of the actual sooners. They lived in Oklahoma, well before any of the shenanigans happened. The farm that my grandmother grew up on is either under part of the track and field facilities or right next to the track and field facilities. I’m not quite sure to the exact location but I do know that one of her younger uncles was one of the first track coaches at OU. Last name was Sutter. Captain John Sutter from the California gold rush was one of her uncles. I still don’t know why they called him captain. As far as I know he was never a captain of anything but his own destiny but I aggress live in Texas. I got five brothers two sisters of them, Aggies or Longhorns. I seem to be the SOONER the family.
Ambliance 😂 totally adorable. You have a a fantastic family. ‘Can you say Ambulance?’ ‘No I cannot’ I’ve just spat my tea out laughing. Love you guys!!! 😂😂😂
That Corvair is either 1965 or 1966. It is a fine starter for a project. These cars do have aftermarket support and a strong fallowing. You should have no trouble fining parts. I look forward to the build of this cool car!
WATCHED ONE OF YOUR EARLIER VIDS OF YOUR TRAP,THAT CAUGHT THE BOB CAT,,could not post comment, but will post here,MY RESPECTS FOR LETTING THE CREATURE GO FREE👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
👍👌👏 Congratulations 🎉 2) Ralph Nader would definitely not gratulate you! 😁 ;-) 3) In Europe respectively Germany a lot of cars looked like smaller versions of American cars. The famous NSU TT/TTS is the dwarf version of your Corvair. Please guggl it, I bet you like them. Thanks a lot for making explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and especially health to all of you.
Congratulations on the Corvair. Those are awesome machines. A great car to start wrenching on. Lots of parts and very low priced. Faster then a Porsche.
Looks like dad's foots better 👍 that car is awesome. I saw one painted blue and had white yanko decal accents I guess you call it . I've always liked those and you got the right year for handling and collecting. That year of coevair was safer in corners . always wanted to see one with a decent strong v6 in the back . The factory did release one with a straight six and a turbo. Jay Leno's garage had one on his RU-vid videos . Anyway have a nice summer and good luck hunting car stuff guys . 👋 So kid can't say ambulance and I can't spell to good all the time . Nice car I hope you fix it up and am looking forward to the videos. That project truck would been something they should left the tailgate though alot of times people do use nets .
AJ the proud owner of a 65 Corvair..hooray..little man..For sure the coolest kid in school when he turns 16...i think whoever bought those GTO's will probably not ever get their money in restoration back if they sold them after the project is complete because we all know that building a Classic is a labor of love..Takes a pretty deep wallet..especially when you say GTO...i was at an auction once where a carburetor for a Packard went for 3 grand..The more desirable the car is the thicker the wallet needs to be..
Those poor GTOs... I grew up with my dad always saying he would fix his. I'm 32 now and he sold it 2 years ago to a family friend to hopefully fix up. I always dreamed about driving it 😭
I love watching your adventures Brent. I tune in for your landscaping, wildlife, monsoons, birding, and Astro videos. Have you done any camping over in the Cochise Stronghold area of Arizona, over near Wilcox? I thing you did a couple videos last year from Chiricahua which is near there. Just a suggestion if you are looking for new places for content. Keep up the good work bud. You are fun to watch.
