Wow AJ sure is a talker I mean that in a good way. You don't need a CDL license to drive the School Bus unless you plan on hauling passengers other than family. The bus is rated as a class A license. However your car license is all you need. That is indeed a very nice truck you bought. Awesome video thank y'all.

Hey Kent what a fun video. AJ's running commentary had me laughing and smiling as usual. He even knew more about the logging equipment than you did. And I burst out laughing with your comment about hey honey I bought a bus! But at least you helped her with her flower bed LOL. Hopefully Jack was able to get the wood lathe. I have a friend who was a professional woodturner. One of his lathes could adjust the turning speed with pulleys and belts like that one, but he retrofitted it and added an actual car transmission complete with stick shift instead so he could shift gears to change the lathe speed

Jack, your dad mentioned you guys have a couple of VW's. Use one of them to build a sandrail. Between you and your dad, it wouldn't take you guys very long to build a buggy. The chassis are available either welded or unwelded kits. Acme car Co. Berrien Buggy, Dune Buggy warehouse, Appletree Automotive are just a few.

That red c60 Chevy dump bed was taken care of because most are slap wore out. At my job we had a 85' with a anemic 400. They replaced it with a stout small block Jasper engine and with four speed trans and two speed rear end. Had a short exhaust two in two out thrush muffler. It sounded good for what it was. Especially if you had a load and run through the gears and switching high low rear end between gears.

I worked at an international dealership and got to work on the bus my kids used to take and they came to the shop to show me where they sit but before they showed me they both said don't worry dad we didn't write and poke holes in the seat in front of them and it's not our gum stuck under the seat. I guess you had to be there but it was funny at the time. You know when kids say the darnedest things lol😂👍🇨🇦🔧. Love the channel

The bus would be cool to make into a camper bus for your family. Take out the seats ( leave the first 2 ) then put in cabinets and a sink . And some beds a table to eat at.

That sand rail looks like it set up as a street ride as opposed to a sand dune with the tires on it. Most of those RV's you looked at should have seatbelts on or in the couches and then fold out for sleeping. I think that large screen that looks like a tv is more of a rear view camera so if you're towing a vehicle behind you can see around and behind that vehicle. The camper that looks like a van you want to see if it has a plug to convert AC power from a campsite to 12V power. That way you could hook up a generator or inverter, otherwise you're just using engine power and 12v battery. As a camper it should have the plug. It might also have an exterior shower accessory. That large reel you looked at in the beginning of the video I think may be used for laying out irrigation hose. The large school bus that the boys rode on would be nice nostalgia and you could convert that into a cool camper, lots of people do that. If you register the bus as an RV you don't need a CDL. Otherwise you need a Class B license with a "P" endorsement. Does it have air brakes, or hydraulic? I think you should make a camper out of the bus, great project for the whole family (Crystal included). Fun video. I was surprised AJ new what the wood harvester did. Smart boy.

On some of those Freightliners you can flip the headlights on and off (if the batteries are still hooked up) and that’ll bring up the odometer.

If yall were to buy a sand rail I would recommend buying a mid travel A arm car. They are super fun and usually have the iconic ecotecs in them which basically run FOREVER no matter what you throw at it.

1st thing to check on rvs is the roof .Water damage really causes lots of damage to them. and they are odd sized walls and ceilings including the materials they build them with. If they are a motor home always run them and drive them first .

my wife wasn't happy at first when she came home from work and I had a bus in the driveway that I brought at an auction. but when she found out how much I paid and what my plans were she was ok then. She was use to seeing different things show up in our yard but the bus threw her at first.

I have a 1970 chevy bus 37 feet that I changed into a motor home used it for 13 years now now I have to gut it 'cause the rats took it over and destroyed it so I got it Now I got my tools table saw work bench in it and saw planar drill press all kinds of tools in it now or in a woodlathe and it I use it for a shop his rats took over my other shop so now blogger off all the holes and rats can't get in there it has a big block Chevy 350 4 speed standard very low geared top speed 55 miles an hour very good for climbing the mountains here and hunting
