Awesome history. Maybe put a wood top on it with holes that let the vertical corner pieces come through. The top and shelf should sturdy it up. Then, add a shelf below. And you would have a unique table. Have a good time keeping alive your dad's legacy through whatever you end up doing with it. I am a farmer and grew up living and working on my parents farm. Dad would buy a new combine but not be able to buy my mom a new stove. Family are awesome and complicated at times.
My Gosh Jon, What a wonderful story. I remember a while Back you told us about Yukon Acres. Great to hear more of the Details that went on. I would say Make the necessary repairs to Stiffen it up Make it set level and put a Top on it. make recess in the top so the uprights fit into them as to not secure it down. Maybe it will fit in one of the Kids Room for a Table ?? Till it is needed as a Walker again. Tanks Much Jon. Mike M.
Thank you Jon for sharing such a heart warming story.. As for the walker.. I would go right out to Yukon acres and cut some more of the same trees and add them on it to make some nice shelves across the existing cross members and it could display some of your moms and dad’s little treasures for display.. ❤️ It would be a amazing tribute to them both.. Again thank you for sharing this story with us. God bless you and your family.. Cheers
That's a nice story Jon, thanks for giving us the opportunity to share in the stories of your father, mother, Yukon Acres and the walker. Repurpose it into a plant stand with 2 shelves.
Nice story about your family Jon. We’re thankful that your dad gave you the love of tractors. As for the walker, towel rack or curtain holdback, ballet bar for the girls. Doesn’t matter what you make I’m sure it will be made from the heart. Cheers 🌴👍🏼🚜❤️
That’s our old man🤍 Thanks for documenting such a memorable family story so we can all look back and enjoy his fine craftsmanship for years to come! Love you Brother!!
Great memories. I think it would make a nice heirloom desk for the girls. Just ad the top or attach a drawer or two to the top to make it more desk like. God bless.
Jon, Thank you for sharing. A very cool story. I love how your Mom doesn't get mad. I'm just curious, Is Yukon Acres still in the family ? You made me laugh. Thanks, Dan
Yes Yukon acres is still owned by us. One of my favorite things to do is get up there and do some tractor work. Thanks for the comment, glad you enjoyed the story. Keep on tractoring!
Great rest of story Jon , never heard the auction part before... FYI you can safety say its genetic when you purchase something like a tiller and it gets noticed months later. 😂
Love the story on how they named the property. After watching you, Brock at Rock Hill Farms and TTWT I had to get a tractor with a backhoe. I really didn't need one but just had to have one. Wish I would have got it years ago. Firewood is do much easier. I have taken out about 30 stumps. Done a few French drains . Thanks for the story. Good luck with the walker!
keep it as is just reglue and screw it back to original it was made with love by a man who was loved its a keepsake thanks for the story it is one of a kind
We have a lot of other things that man made. Keep this as is isn't an option. Just trying to find another use for the wood as it's so unique. Keep on tractoring!
I have followed you for at least 2 years and i didn't know the history of the the name Yukon Acres. Honestly, I figured that you are so far North that it was in reference to the Yukon territory. LOL
Great to see the love Jon! My parents were married 49 years when my mother passed unexpectedly. My dad has ever since been devastated. All he wants is to go be with her. They were together nonstop. Anyhow, a suggestion could be to turn it into a hanging light fixture!
Would it be possible to repurpose into picture frames? Put a picture of your mom and dad in them and gift them to your daughters when they are ready to understand the significance
The way you invest yourself in your videos ( sharing ) makes your channel special. Picture frames for family photos would make the walker live on with your girls. Thanks for sharing, mike
Hello, just found your channel! I have a 5x10 iron bull dump trailer with 5k axles and a Chevy 1500. I don’t know much about the Kubota BX series, but given your experience, would you recommend a BX series tractor to someone with my truck and trailer for doing small jobs in hard to reach areas? And what would be the BX tractor you’d recommend? As mentioned, I don’t know much about them. It would have to fit in the same size dump trailer you have. Thanks!!
