Hi, Thanks for the video, helped me start my diagnosis - but not there yet. My heater control unit (same as in video) in my Audi A3 quattro 2008, has no power going to it at all. the radio and rest of electrics all seems to be ok, just no lights or power to the display unit or the fans. I checked the fuses, and all good. I thought it could be a the actual unit itself, so i got a replacement on Ebay, but still no power. Do you have any ideas? relays maybe? any other reason there would be no power going to the module? thanks

How did you fix your aux heater I've got a 2006 Vw Jetta

so mine doesn't move at all so do i need to replace the motor as well? also my vets dont change to the separate vents just blow through all of them all the time.

Great video! But I didn't understand what should I do if I just want to remove auxiliary heater element without replacing actuator motor? At 13:06 you said auxiliary heater is behind this plastic cover - do I need to remove glove box compartment or just to remove bolts on that cover to access auxiliary heater? P.S. If you have a video in which you explain how to remove and install just auxiliary heater it would be great to upload it! Best regards!

You don't actually need to remove the centre console. You can just remove the glovebox

Thanks for the video. I still got question... this arm should move completely? For an example I set temperature to LO and than I adjusted temp to 16.0 degrees. And this actuator moved till the end. For me the problem is that there is only hot air blowing at passengers seat...

You need to calibrate flap motors with VCDS, after you reinstall them?

What reason did you have for replacement of the aux heater, I’ve got a Vw Passat b7 and in the last 3 weeks I’ve had to had a new heater blower and resistor due to fan sticking and being tight when turning plus a burning plastic smell 3 weeks on every now and again I’m getting the same burning smell which gives me a massive headache and today I actually saw smoke in the passenger side footwell so car is back in the garage as I don’t want me car going up in flames

Hi, I have the same car as you. The diagnosis made with VCDS gives me the following error: 01272 - Positioning Motor for Central FLap (V70) - 003 - Mechanical Failure - Intermittent. The problem is that I can't adjust the direction of the air, for example it never reaches the feet. In the video do you replace this motion positioner or some other? I've seen two by removing the glovebox but not sure if that interests me. Can you help me?
