Scott, yeah if you can you should pick a quattro. Much more fun, and safety to drive. I love it. There is no any powersteer, or wheel slip. Just pure acceleration. You will love it, if you taste the awd you wont ever pick any fwd again. I have 250K kms The engine is good, but the PD Injectors always need to be inspected and also the Dual mass flywheel if you want to buy. But it is true for all turbodiesel engines. Nothing special . If you will have a stock one, wont be crazy MPG. Mine is a bit more thirsty due to the remap and other modifications. Manual transmission is almost undying just change oil in trans. as well , after purchasing a used car. Also much better fun :) Hope you will enjoy! Best wishes and HNY!

Can't find any other cars to get instead, only one is the BMW 123d, but the timing chain issue hasn't been sorted so they're not reliably enough for me, plus I can just get the A3 remapped to get the same performance ;) can you turn the traction crontrol off as well? thanks man drive safe

Yeah Scott you can turn traction control off via switch on center console. Another thing what comes into my mind is that you should change the plastic intake manifold to the alloy one. You can find many information about it. It is very cheap, dont afraid. The reason is to get rid of the flap inside the plastic manifold, which can be faulty on 150+ milage cars. HNY

In A3 and TT, East-West engine placement there is a Haldex system which can apply maximum of 50% torque to the rear axels. Normally if you cruise at highway or over 80kph only fwd is working at 100% if there is any slip, or not enough traction, the haldex clutch engages and torque applied to rear. In my model it is a Haldex Generation 2 system. So it is basically a clever system based on ABS sensor, throttle pedal position, wheel sensor and the electrical unit decides when to apply a certain ammount of torque to the rear. It is also called quattro, it is only a different drivetrain.

Hi, up until 250+ HP should be fine, if you feel slippage, you upgrade the cluth if neccessary, it wont brake. 170 turbo is not that great and not fit stabdard to 140, go for a hybrid, much better choice for your car.

For minor healthy demap, it doesnot kill turbo. Only if it already in bad shape, or too much restriction due to DPF. For flywheel wise, yes more torque will produce more stress. Injectors are safe, but always a good idea to change seals and adjustment screws. Biggest limiting factors are high EGT for stock turbo. Monitor it especially if you still have dpf.

@ I don't have dpf, I have golf 5 1.9 tdi with 105hp but I have most reliable engine(BKC) which don't have problems with conrods and dpf.

Szia, ekkor még gyári GT1749vc, sőt még a koromszűrő is rajta volt. Addig pörgeted amig érzed, hogy van értelme. Kesobb hengerfejes lett, es akkor már 3000 felett semmit nem ert. Épp a napokban keszült el, felment rá egy GTB2056VK, amint lehet padlozni, rakok fel új videot :-)

Dávid Hollósy Érdekes, olyan magasan a tdi nem szokott már annyira húzni, de biztos egy húzott járgány másképp viselkedik :) MIlyen nyomással üzemel a 3.0 turbó? 2260-at ha jól tudom 2.6 körülre szokták rakni 3 ezernél töltéssel, felette 100nál elkezd kaparni :D

Termeszetesen nem gyari mappal mentem a videon. Oszinten megmondom, en nem vagyok szaki, sokat foglalkozom az autoval, utanaolvasok, de a chiptuning reszet rabizom szakemberre. A nyomas, hasznos fordulatszam, teljesitmeny, ezek mind a motor allapotatol, pd elemektol, turbotol fugg. Egyedileg kell szabni. Biztos hogy van egy elmeleti ertekintervallum. Remenyeink szerint most olyan 240-250 loero korul fog teljesiteni. Ha minden rendben lesz, a kovetkezo lepes lehet egy WMI. Szerintem egy 1515 kg-os quattro a3 nem kapar el 100-nal:-) sot, eleve nem a fustot es a kaparast keresem. Az mind mernoki hiba. Tapadjon, es tudja leadni a nyomatekot, akkor jo a kocsi. A fust pedig a lurkoknak valo. :-)

A quatro persze nem kapar, de első kerék hajtással a nagy turbó-nagy nyomás tud érdekes dolgokat csinálni. A pd elemekhez nem nyúltatok még? A füstöt a kpm sem tolerálja nagyon meg a kocsi gazdája sem a büntetést...

A Pd-elemek a gyariak, igaz garancialisan ingyen csereltek mind a negyet :-) (Siemens PPD ) Ha minden igaz 250-260 loeroig vihetok el, azutan mar csak race csucs johetne szoba, de akkor szukseg lenne, nagy coolerre, nagy turbora, amit te is emlitettel. Akkor sajnos mar inkabb versenyauto lenne, alig lenne autozhato varosban, vagy napi hasznalat mellett. A hengerfej tulterheleserol nem is beszelve. Ezert gondolkodom inkabb a viz-methanol befecskendezesen. Teljesitmenynoveles es hoterheles csokkentes egyszerre. Fontos tudni hogy a haldex is quattro, csupan vezerles kerdese. (HPA- performance controller segitsegevel jobb lehet mint egy torsen, de mindenki leszolja :-) , imadom ) Szerencsere a Siemens okosabb mint a Bosch, finomabb az egesz rendszer, nagyon nehez fustoltetni, a hatulutoje csupan annyi , hogy nagyon kevesen ertenek hozza, raadasul nagyon draga program kell a mapok azonositasara. Ezert sufni Sandor nem tudja tuningolni.

@@davidalexandrerc5078 can you give me any tips i have some vibration from 2000 up to 2200 rpm. in first and second gear you cant really feel it heard it but in 4,5,6 it is very deep and noisy.

You mean after remap? New ECU file? FDepends on the engine, but generally DPF doesnot likes remap with increased ash and carbon, also stock turbo is very small so high EGT can be a concern, but shorty after this I've changed bigger turbo and DPF-off & EGR off. To be safer and for bigger power. Keep your Temps down not to destroy the head.

Maybe they express themself (What a moron passing before a turn) flashing to me. No other idea, but they were driving too slow without any reason and keeping short distance while you dont want to pass is also dangerous.
