FYI, I installed the android 10.25 to my audi a5. I took the two USB ports that came with the unit and placed one on the driver's side and the other on the passenger side. I fixed them in place with dubble sided tape and installed led usb mini lights for ambient floor boards. And I still have access to them to plug in anything else ie phone, thumb drive etc... works great.

Nathan installed this on my SQ5 earlier this year (2021), fantastic product! I use an onboard sim card, All the things that I like to use work well, screen is HD and fairlt sharp.

How does it work a year later. I am looking into buying an A5 early next year and I am looking into options for CarPlay. Only thing that has me a bit worried is previous experience with Android phones crashing and becoming slow after 5-6 months.

My 2015 Audi Q5 has a Concert System with AMI. I purchased the Kufine System. 1. The climate control plug on my car is different. 2. My car has an airbag light on now. 3. The system doesn't show the Audi stuff at all.

I recently bought the same one and everything worked perfect after a two months or so the screen won’t turn on anymore. The audio still works while the screen isn’t on but i unplug the unit behind the screen and it works but after i turn off the turn car it doesn’t work again.

Been loving this screen ever since I purchased direct from you. Would love to see a vid on importing an Audi boot logo/updating the system. Also, any way to add Avant cars for the left side of the main menu? Have a b8 s4 Avant but there are only sedans or Q series.

I have this setup, but on an A5 with an aftermarket reverse camera. I have it connected to reverse video and ‘Camera det’ behind the screen, and I also have it wired into reversing light power to tell the camera to turn on (as my car is manual) Still however, when I put it into reverse, it doesn’t show me the camera. Sometimes when I turn the car off, it’ll jump to that screen, showing me the camera live feed and also the parking sensors. I assume it’s something on canbus, as it should be recognising the signal coming in from ‘camera set’ and automatically switching to it. I’ve checked and when in reverse, power is going through the cable.

Hi Nathan, Congratulations on your video, they are really helpful. I bought one of these units for my Audi Q5. I have the MMI system. It worked really well first hand but 3 days after the installation, it stopped working. It doesn't even turn on now. What should I do? I'm waiting for your advice. Thanks

Hi great video I'm having trouble with the phone calls not coming through the speakers. My phone connects perfectly for android auto and everything works great but I can't hear the caller through the speakers and they can't hear me, you can hear a click from the head unit as of its trying but nothing, any ideas its installed on my sq5.

So I installed one of these on my 2011 Q5. The sound is AWFUL. Radio FM sounds just fine but anything through the radio has a constant heading on the background. Any idea on how to fix this? (Car has AMI and cable is connected) Any help will be highly appreciated.

Hello, Great video thanks !! Quick question : Is it normal on these Android screen that there is echo heard from the caller when on the standard bluetooth phone of the Android screen ? Phone calls works great on the Apple Car play of the Android screen or on the OEM bluetooth of my Audi SQ5 but not on the standard bluetooth of the Android screen. (My screen is Qualcomm Snapdragon Android 12)

Hello, just installed it on my Audi A4 B8 2012 concert. everything works well but the screen for original MMI are not splitting. So like you said it's stretch and it look like crap. I don't know how to configure this. Do you have an idea ? thanks for your reply.

I’ve been having soo much fun w this thing on my Avant! Only thing is the sound quality has diminished quite a bit, not sure what I can do. Radio still sounds alright. Whenever I unplug the ami module completely, the sound quality is really good but then cuts out after 20 seconds. Do you know what I can do? I have concert

Does anyone else have connectivity issues with Apple Carplay? Nathan? Sometimes I'm troubleshooting just trying to get bluetooth to connect. Just wondering if people have to connect and reconnect again and again zlink/bluethooth. I'd love to not have to forget the device and reconnect each time I get into the car, and then I get out for gas for a sec and it has trouble autoconnecting...

I have checked my settings along with our video. MMI 3G. Wheel works, but the screen does not turn off and on with the car door/key in/out. And, Backup camera is not engaging on the screen automatically. i Have to tap "Car Info" to be able to see the backup camera even though OEM Camera is chosen in settings. Any help on that?

Hey I got a question you said that the control wheel only works on the Multimedia equipped cars, my 2012 S4 has Audi Symphony equipped. How would I be able to control the OEM menu then? In the video as soon as you touched the screen while in the OEM menu it went right into the android menu. I'm interested in buying one 100% however if I cant control the OEM menu with my control wheel then its not worth the investment for me.

So the screen for android is touch, but when you select car and see your original screen info you just use that dial like normal. The dial however will not work in Android mode.

Hi bro, one question a friend of mine got such radio for his Q5. Everything work connecting of Bluetooth or airplay but we do not get the sound , musik and also phone calls have no sounds🤷‍♂️. He has in the glove box a ami and also he has an special adapter one side is ami other is 3.5 connector i do not know how i should call it in english but in german we say 3.5 klinke. Maybe you can help us to get the sound out of the B&O system 😃

Hi! Thanks for the video, it helped me a lot for the installation, but i have 2 problems: 1. Sound is crap, while im talking with someone with telephone, i dont know if i have to install a microphone or what to do 2. I have park sensors and they sound but i cant see the distance, when i park they dont show on the screen, only the sound, and dont know why. Also ive bought a camera but nothing apears when i go back with the car Sorry for my english, im spanish :)

I have the same problem, although it is not all the time. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not work. I know there are some settings for your specific car model in the factory settings area. If I manualy start the camera through the app on the launcher I get the camera display and the PDC data on the screen. Sometimes when I reverse it works and sometimes it does not. I have been told to try change the way the camera is wired up but this does not make sense. If it was a camera power issue then the PDC sensor data would still show up. If I disable the camera option and only have the screen display the factory PDC data screen then it works everytime. So I know that the reverse signal is being detected by the unit everytime, there is correct communication to the CAN network for the PDC data and that the Camera is connected and working. So clearly there must be some software issue.

I checked the wiring and found the conections wete not fully pushed it you hear a click when they are after that no rear camera issues

@@markmcgonigle221 Hello Mark, apparently the wiring for these units are not all the same. I need to change the wiring. The camera works everytime if you manually open the application, however it does not always work automatically when engaging reverse.

@matthewstrike8223 Hi, I did get a fix. In the new system you have go into the factory settings and select something that makes the audio never switch, and choose AUX output on the original audi system. I'll dig out the instructions for you if this doesn't help

Very detailed video! I just purchased an 2010 A5 that has an Android head unit, but the interface looks different, I don’t have a android homepage, it’s either the Audi interface or tablet screen. Looks like it’s running Android 7.0. Can these units software be upgraded? Or do I need a new head unit to get android 10? I can’t connect to CarPlay like this video says either.

@@TheFittingBay i got it . i didnt connect cable to CAN junction. because if i disconect this red thing my car can not start, so i didnt connect them. but what can it be, when i connect can with this radio double cable , where you connect 1 to CAn and the other to red, car no start . Hi Nathan, installed on my SQ5 about August 2022. Been working fine until last month, When I now receive a phone call it cuts out the music permanently. I than need to turn off the engine wait about ten 10 minutes and it reconnects after a further ten minutes of trying. Very annoying can you please help. Not sure if it's the unit or settings. I had it installed by the person you recommended based in Sydney. It happens with every call.

Hey Nathan, Just got this installed but it seems like my Huawei P30 is not working via wireless, it will only connect to Android Auto/my phone when I manually connect my phone to the car via USB. Is it not working because of the phone, should I change my phone to Apple, have you found better wireless connection/capability with Apple over Android phones ? If it is not the phone, any idea what else it may be ? Works perfectly fine when it is wired. I have a 2014 Audi Q5 Sline with MMI. Thanks in advance Nathan.

My mmi tells me AMI is not connected. Even my old AMI Bluetooth isnt recognized anymore. So i dont get audio out of the radio via aux anymore. Dont know how to fix this issue. Anyone fixed the same problem ? (Tried with the 3,5mm AMI and without)
