hey jon it’s been a while i’m looking into a 99 a4 1.8t quattro would you be able to list the parts list you did in total,the car i’m looking at has a blown clutch i’m just seeing if it would be worth my time or not. thank you for the video it was really helpful

If it's just the clutch you're replacing that's all you really need to do. While you're doing it if you want to add go fast things to the car, that would be the time. Upgrading the turbo to a K04? Do it at the same time. Check the turbo coolant lines for bubbles. Replace them anyway if you're doing the turbo. You have to remove part of the exhaust for the clutch so might as well do the HFC replacement. Big gain in power. Trans mounts for sure and motor mounts though I'll do my motor mounts when I do the turbo replacement. I like the stock shifter feel but if you want to do a short shifter, do it then. Check out my other videos too. 034 motorsports has great products. The diverter valve helps with speedy throttle blips for downshifting. if the car is leaking coolant from the back of the motor toward the top, 99% sure it will be the coolant flange. Get the aluminum version to put back in from ECS. All in all, the 1.8T is a fairly easy motor to work on. You don't have to drop the entire motor to work on it like the V6 cars have to. Also, I was wrong in the video about replacing all your bolts. Use the stock bolts for things that can be reused. The aftermarket bolts I used are all rusty and knarly looking already and the stock bolts (driveline) look great. The quattro 1.8T b5 A4's are super under rated in my opinion. These are great cars and the best body lines of any generation. You can play with the suspension to make it handle really really well on the road in any condition rain to snow. Finding ground clearance for off road stuff is super tough though. If you want an offroad rally car to abuse. Subaru all day. If you want a fast, good handling, road gobbling , sexy, comfortable car that can do 90+ mph all day, b5 A4 all the way. Hope this helps. Happy to answer any specific questions.
