I own one for 3 years now, 2nd owner. No issues at all. But I was wondering why the used ones are so cheap given the original price of the car is in the $70K range.
Bad idea. Act of god Engine fault at 200km renders the car a total loss. The chances of this happening normally high and that is why the price will be unbelievably low. A7 are often sold 3-4 years in below 30k. You can find A7s all breeds drivable for 9-15k. Owners know the issues and maintenance is pricey even if you have your own shop. So owners sell to avoid “act of god.” I found that once you leave warrantee, if you are committed to the car, you should invest in a more powerful engine or reinforce the engine you have. It seems more powerful parts retrofitted increase life expectancy. That’s right rebuild the engine when afforded. The rebuild will extend engine warrantee. Tune heads will cross this line to decrease the chances of blowouts after after-market upgrades and its brilliant. Tuned cars and cars that stay in the shop are the only Daily-driver cars I know or have seen push 400km to 500km before collectible/old timer re-work from bumper to bumper is done. Stay away from the mod 3.0. It wasn’t meant for the street apparently it was just an experiment.
@@biggbytes9140 I am looking at a 2012 that recently had an engine rebuild at 109k miles (now 130k). It was $17k in repairs, but now the motor is brand new. Thoughts?
