I need to bring my '08 A$ manual to you..have the coolant flange leak..replaced the flange, clip and o ring..still leaking..getting the coolant warning of course..and the oil light...& the milky coolant..but runs smooth when cranked...needs brake job too...
Can you talk about how the hood latch affects the oil warnings the car emits? I’ve heard they are related and just don’t see how. I’ve also taken 2 apart and have thoroughly cleaned the tiny white button switch inside with an electronic spray cleaner and finished off with an electronic contact lubricant spray and testes them with a multimeter and show then to work.
I thought the same thing, until came across a video that explained why I was getting an error reading regarding my oil. The remedy was opening the hood, disconnecting the hood sensor, reconnect it, close the hood and the error message went away. Took it to be inspected, and on the way home, starting getting the same message to shut off engine due to low oil pressure. Git home, repea8the hood sensor steps and the issue is gone....again. That's what led me to this video. Hope that helps explain how it affects the oil readings.
