Unitronic does not give +50hp... It is actually +105hp / +142ft/lb over Stock giving your car 505hp / 496ft/lb. Providing you have at least went with Unitronic 3" turbo inlet pipe. Motor trend did 0-60 in 3.6 and Car and Driver did 0-60 in 3.4 with completely stock cars.
Unitronics numbers are at the crank. If you compare them APRs crank figures there almost identical. To the wheels both stage 1+ tunes should be giving you around 440whp / 450wtq, +/- 10. This is perfect for a daily driver sleeper.
Thanks for putting this vid together. I’m looking to buy another rs3, had one back in 2015 before all these tuning options. Can you flash back to your oe ecu and tcu map, is it a generic map or your actual downloaded oe map stored on their server
Bro, stock these cars can give a 3.5 second 0-60 with good conditions. Also did you change your vent rings? You have the red contrast stitch but the rings are grey? Mine are red...I thought that was the RS Design Package got you the seat stitch, belts, and the vents.
Meanwhile in EU, the car does 0-62 in 3.8 seconds on average during reviews with professional measuring equipment. And thats stock :) I currently run REVO stage 1+ (downpipe, sportscat, carbon intake with 98 octane tune) and see consistent 3.1 seconds runs 0-62 mph. 560bhp/680Nm on the crank. Good car for tuning!
Jakob Eriksson wonder if I just got a soft engine. Ran it recently with draggy and 3.6 0-60 with the stage 1, however no other mods. Downpipe would free it up for sure.
@@gabbychavesracing24 Yeah, something might be wrong here. If we talk 0-60, I have actually not seen any reviews that has reported above 3.7-3.8 seconds stock (audi claims 3.9). With a good tune (stage 1) you should be getting an additional 70bhp or so and that should put you in the sub 3.5 seconds for sure. You might want to check your car out at a dealership or your tuner to make sure everything is alright!
Jakob Eriksson wonder if it could just be a US thing. Couple US mags have it at 3.9-4.2 so might just be at the slower end of the Spectrum. Headed to the drag strip next week so should have a better comparison to gauge from
GC Cannonball yeah maybe but its still a bit weird tbh. I have dragy logs 0-62 at 3.5 seconds with just stage 1 tune (no hardware). I do have staggered setup with 255 at the front though, maybe that makes up some difference.
Jakob Eriksson good thinking that could be some. And that’s where I’m at just tune no hardware and the wider fronts definitely will add rolling resistance and drag
He did a stage 1+ tune and that's higher than stage 1 tune. And for that stage 1+ tune you need a stage 2 TCU tune to go with it ! Thats how Unitronic set it up
emilio leo I must have a dud cause I’ve never done below 4.0 stock granted On just a regular street. The point being is just the difference between stock and tuned here.
@@gabbychavesracing24 Electric mod it. The new Tesla does 0-60MPH in 1.9 seconds. Electric motors have instant torque it's no competition with internal combustion lol. 😆
True, but imo the rewards outweigh the risks. Especially, when these cars at stage 1 levels can be tuned to be as quick as supercars 2x-5x+ its price. That said, the RS3 is already a beast from the factory.
