Nice video. The RS3 is an awesome machine. the set of lightweight rims with the winter tire would have given you the 10.99 or better. But I do the same with switching to the stock rim with winter tire. Only running the lightweight in summer.
Thanks for sharing! I Just got my 2019 RS3 and when I surpass the 1000 mile break-in period intend to get some baseline quarter mile times at my local track before it gets too cold out. We have 93 octane in NY with 10% ethanol content. Hoping for a 12.3-12.4 stock with my 280lb bod.
@@fivepotfury1132 If you have proof of that run you should contact the owner of the RS3 1/4 mile record spreadsheet. You're the 2nd quickest completely stock RS3 according to those numbers.
Keep it up Adam. Love all the content. The best I’ve run on stage 1+ 93 octane full weight (3,800 lbs.) is 11.37 @ 124mph. Ive been avoiding a downpipe bc of the wastegate rattle but it looks like I’ll need one. Based on my observations I estimate that every 75 lbs could represent up to .1 tenth of a second in the 1/4 mile with these RS3’s.
Thanks! Back when I first bought my RS3 the best I was able to achieve was 11.3 at 121mph on stage 1+. Goes to show how much they have constantly improved the tune to archive your time and speed!
Went Iroz DP with my first RS3, now with my second going to attempt the IE since its a long cast front section as well as catted plus the rear unit is cast as well. In hopes to help with rattle. mind you my stock exhaust on start up I can hear the rattle. Don't think there is away around the wast gate rattle but do believe the stainless steel resonates the sound more so than cast. Time will tell.
@@MODIT It'll be very interesting to see whether the IE downpipe quiets down the wastegate rattle. If I had to guess, the rattle you are hearing on start up are the exhaust valves and not the wastegate rattling. It is a very common problem with these RS3's
@@VancityAudi The noise I'm hearing on start up is up front, thought that is one of the most known times one would hear the waste gate rattle as well. Anyway, been following another RS3 owner that was upset with how quiet the IE system was. Fingers crossed.
Love watching your videos man all the comparisons that you do. I have the same car same color mines bone stock im not too scared to void the warranty then break it at the moment lol but one day.
Nice one man! I have a question about my rs3 I did the stage 1 on unitronic I’m wondering if I refill gas #94 octane from petro Canada, will be more power output than #91 octane on stage 1 ?
With the varying degrees of quality found in pump gas I always recommend people use above the recommend octane level to ensure you are getting every drop of performance out of your car. If you want to check to see if your car is running optimally on the 91 octane fuel watch this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1il-LzMN80c.html Follow the steps in the video and you can see if you should be running a higher octane fuel or not to get the most out of your RS3.
Hi Adam watch your grate videos lots of tips thanks 2 question’s 1 do you have or need a Turbo Outlet Pipe to replace the stock cast ‘pancake’ pipe. 2 where did you get you garages from Thanks mick
1. No, I am running the OEM charge pipe. 2. I think you are referring to my gauges. They are Zeitronix gauges and I ordered them directly through their website.
Great car man. I have an b8.5 rs5 and thinking of making a move to the rs3 or ttrs cause I love that 5 banger. What is the app you’re using for the times? Thanks
It is called Dragy. I'm actually giving two of them away with a minimum $50 donation to a fundraiser I'm doing for the BCSPCA: champions.spca.bc.ca/participant/2406695/2393/
I'm surprised that you let your car cool down between runs. When I did the quarter mile with my RS3, i noticed that I had better time once temperature was over 80 celcius... What is the temperature of your engine when you do your runs?
Running back to back runs and doing better on the 2nd run when your car is already hot isn't the norm. Perhaps it was because your tires were then warmer and you had better traction on launch. The recommended procedure is to let your car cool down in between runs without letting your oil temp drop below 70 degrees Celsius. The lowest I've raced with is 65 degree Celsius oil temp
Thanks for sharing your journey brother. Ever have the drive system malfunction error pop up? If so, how did you remedy it? Thanks in advance for your reply!!
I have had one transmission error pop up back when I was on Custom Code. Just turning the car off and on took care of it. Since I've been on Unitronic I have had no issues or malfunctions
Vancity Audi thanks brother. It popped up on my 2018 RS3 after it sat idle for 45 min. I turned off the car and back on again and it cleared. Keep up the good content!!
For street runs what do you think is best? Esc fully off or sport? Cause it seems that with sports it actually "helps" traction and the wheels dont spin. With fully off the wheels spin, but i dont know if that is better or not..
I've actually found that on my crappy street tires, on the street, that ESC in Sport works better. On the track I've found that ESC Off works better. With that said, if I had a really good set of street tires maybe ESC Off would be better on the street.
Damn negative 1100 DA and in the 40's temp lol. That surely helps ;-) but still good times for what it is on 93 octane. What is the weight amount would you say removed currently in this condition? Also assuming you are running the TCU tune from Uni? BTW great content, really glad you showed this. Going from Stage 1+ Uni to Stage 2 right now. Hopefully to see some gain even on 93 octane!
What weight did I remove? I mention this twice in the video. I am also running the Unitronic - Stage 2 - TCU tune. My apologies for not stating this in the video. I'm glad you're enjoying the content!
canada audi rs3 sedan doesnt have non panaromic glass roof? unfortunately my country doesnt have e60-e85 just ron95/97/98/100, enjoyed all your videos! TYsm!
