FETA FAM!! It's time for a heart to heart on why I switched to Unitronic for my IMS1000 Audi RS3, as always please feel free to put your comments and questions below. -MMS
This video really means a lot to us, George. Thank you for taking the time to put it together and we look forward to being a part of what's next on this platform. Cheers!
Drive-ability is always the reason I advise going toward main stream tuners. Getting an extra 16hp sounds cool until your car becomes unbearable to drive.
I have been running the Unitronic stage 2 ECU/TCU combo for close to 2 years. Many other bolt ons to my A3 and it has crushed many various cars on the street including BMW M2 competition and a stock RS3 (it had temp tags). I use the uniconnect cable because I need to go backwards to stock each year so I can pass emissions testing. That in itself was the single reason for going with Unitronic. But I see more videos now where more car enthusiast are realizing that Unitronic code is amazing!! I have put 105,000 very hard miles on my car and no issue with software.
Sorry I didn’t make note it is a Quattro running bolt ons and right at 370 HP / 370 TQ. Lighter than the M2 and verified my 0-60 with dragy device that I keep stuck in my dash. A stock M2 runs 0-60 in around 4.4 to 4.7 as what I found doing a google search. I run it in 4 flat and quarter in 12 flat. Unitronic tune eliminates the speed governor. I hit 160 and stock M2 is limited to 155. I was only walking away if that helps clarify.
Great video George. Looking forward to this season, it will be another great one for this platform. Ohh, and no switchee to VR6, 5cylinder only. Lol. Kidding, do your thing bro.
Have just ordered another rs3, after selling my og 8v back in 2016. Unitronic is definitely the platform I’m looking at to support my stock frame e85 build plans. I hope they develop the maps for the row opf cars
Man i so want an RS3. It’s def next on my list. The power these car makes with just a downpipe is freaking crazy and the DSG shifts is the main reason why I absolutely love the RS3. Sounds like a damm gunshot.
Omg, can SOMEONE make a video comparing RS3's where they tske a stock car. And put it against a ecu tuned car. Then vs ecu and intake, then vs ecu intake, exhaust(downpipe and midpipe). Would be great to see and hear the difference between them and to help people choose what they want and what they can afford. PLEASE.
They are well respected locally and are pioneers of the VAG community in the province. They have been around for a while. I work in the same building and can confirm to you that they do CONSTANT devellopment on the streets and on their in-house dyno. They are car people. Period.
Was up George. I drive a GLI MK6. Tuned by APR.so unitronic is way better then apr ? So times I get like a lag. Thinking on doing the change. What do u think I should do ?
Was considering getting stage 1 (91) and stage 1 + e85 ... SoCal . Want to run a tank of 91 for every few of e85 .... will I be able to switch on the fly or has to flash between maps ? Nice videos man
@@FQ1998 less aggressive on the tunes. Unitronic is all about reliability first. Look at the same stage 2 93 octane vs Apr. Apr has more hp and torque.... And having the same types of bolts on? Nah I don't trust that for a bit
@@lucienl9465 My RS3 is making a choice between IE and Stage 1 of UNI. I want to choose a stable and reliable tune for it. Do you have any good suggestions:)
Sounds like you're throwing shots lol only thing that sucks is that they don't have much support in the US. Any issues you have to wait atleast 24hrs which sucks.
