Those "sensitive" hazard lights are very, very useful, especially on the Autobahn. Cars behind can immediately spot if you're just breaking or BREAKING.

M550i is not a sport car, it’s limousine with V8 and very comfortable cruiser Being that fast is actually amazing. It’s much faster than any M5 model before.

@@vise5224 I have a 2020 M550i. I drove both and the M5, in my opinion, was too harsh for every day driving. Very stiff ride. The M550i is a luxury rocket. Very comfortable and plenty sporty - and a fire breathing beast when you want it to be.
I have a love and hate relationship with the looks of that BMW. In some angles it looks like the best car ever, in some angles it looks like a Skoda Superb…
Not if you want to have an estate. And numbers dont lie, in some markets over 70% of sold cars RS/AMG are estates. Still dont get it why BMW dont jump the train.

I believe this was done before the BMW OTA update that fixed the timing issue which was not making the car go as fast as it should. I would love to see how this comparison would look like after the update!
It's crazy the M550 has a quicker 1/4 mile in rain than the F10 M5, and having less power. Shows how much more efficient and advanced the newer BMWs are.

Yeah it’s because it was Mat is daily car for 6 months and he used it for filming races, now he has a BMW M3 Competition and he will film more videos with that car
M550i was recalled for an issue with the ECU. After the recall update the M550i is a much different car. The launch on the car was horrible. My 2021 will now spin all four. Considering it’s wet in the video, Carwow should have seen some pretty epic wheel spin It looks like this car didn’t have the update done, this was not putting down full power.
@@mainiosukka yes, but the non-updated m550i bogs down so much the car would still be faster if it spun. My 2021 was garbage off the line. After the update it’s much better. Like, 4.4 seconds down to 3.4 seconds
@@white_goose9782 Audi is the better option. M and AMG it took only a bit rain to drastically slow them down. The RS6 is a beast. Dragrace and track is bullshit to compare such cars. Weather Conditions is a lot more important and they both sucks at that.
@@LanGust8 I love Audi and the RS6 is my favourite. But the C8 RS6 just isn't good enough. No sporty sounding V8 and gearbox is lagging behind compared to the E63S AMG and M5. Maybe and hopefully they will release a performance version that will make up for this.
Majority of people finance cars nowadays! You yourself can finance one of these for the small price of a mortgage every month! Probably average £800 a month 🙈😂 I’d rather buy another house!

Not rlly. The performance is perfectly fine as Audi likes to balance out luxury and speed. Mercs typically try to be more luxury and BMW's are more sporty. The Audi is like a mix of Mercedes and bmw, which I personally prefer.
@@ACERASPIRE1 because if you remove the badges it looks like any M Sport BMW 5 series (520d, 530i etc) but then it can beat pretty much everything in the traffic light Grand Prix, therefore it’s a sleeper, unlike the M5 with its big vents, exhausts and arches
I wish this was done in dry conditions. The RS6 even beat the E63 and M5 in wet conditions, but then got beat handily in dry…Audi AWD system is better in wet.
This is an 550i not the m5 its weaker and slower but its a good choice for that person who wanna a sedan sport car with not that huge engine and that much power even the rs7 will not have a chance against a normal new m5 the competition will leave her in the dust

@Maverick doesn't matter. Cars aren't build only for good conditions. In germany there's like 60% rainy days and much snow. And only Audi looks good in such conditions.
@Maverick mate the lost souls who think bmw or merc are faster need to giv there head a wobble, get like for like!!! They use standard RS6 against the Comp M5 and E63s. Carwow if you are that much of a reviewer Go get a standard M5 and E63 non Comp or S versions and we’ll see what happens.. and Looks and road presence the AUDI is ahead of the game compared to Bmw or merc.

Matt, I think you’ve done more to harm sales of the M5 than anything else lol. Why have an m5 when a mapped M550i would beat an rs6 and keep with an M5.
Don't think you get it son. The M550i is never going to be an M5 no matter how much you map it. They are completely different cars aimed at different drivers with different needs. The M5 is amazing, but as a daily driver it gets tiring very quickly. They are not comparable. The M550i is the comfortable, plush, daily driver which can still accelerate rapidly when needed, yet won't give you back problems being driven all day over UK pot-hole ridden roads. I'd love an M2C but the running costs, and suspension stiffness would be crippling driving it to work and back every day. So I have an M140i which is a lot more comfortable, costs a lot less to run, yet is actually a fair bit quicker in a straight line now it's running 455bhp/634nm. But, it will never be a proper M car, because the chassis and suspension are not designed in the same way.
M550i has to be the best luxury performance sedan by the Germans, all things considered. I've been trying to get my wife to swap her E43 AMG for one but she just won't listen.
The M8 Grand coupe and the M5 are better just to stay within the BMW brand. Otherwise the AMG V8s are also better. This one is pretty good for the price though, considering it has the same hardware as a M5, an ECU tune probably goes a long way.
