Does anyone know how to pull bearing down? I'm using the same method and probably using bigger power, but the bearing is stucked. I have tried flame bit, but I worry about ABS sensor. Do you recommend some trick or bigger power?
When the bearing is installed it is pressed into the spindle until it bottoms out against a stop. When you are removing the bearing make sure the tool on the backside is against the bearing and not the bearing stop. When you are sure to tool is against the bearing, and you have a lot of force against the bearing, I would try rattling the spindle with an air hammer to see if you can break it loose and get it started.
@@daveraymond2265 thank you for your quick answer. Yes, I am sure I am pulling only the bearing. I use only manual tool so I will try to use a machine. On your video it seems it goes smoothly
Holy crap - invest in some jackstands bro! You torquing on that hub with the car supported by two floor jacks made me cringe. For the novice DIYers that make their to this video... make sure to get a couple pair (4 total) for your tool set ups.
I hear ya. I have several 6 ton jack stands that I use anytime I am getting underneath the car. Either one of these floor jack can easily support the car in this position and one can be removed without the car dropping so I have a bit of redundancy here plus I am not under the car for this job. However, I understand where you are coming from and you are not wrong. Thanks for watching and thank you for your comment. 👊
