I recently had my aftermarket sub installed. The shop tapped my sub lines to the LOC. RCAs to sub of course. When we turn the gain on the on the LOC passed half way the speakers has a humming noise coming from them. I've read it could be the ANC active noise cancellation or that I need to get a DSP. This for an 2018 Audi A6 with Bose.
Turning up the gain the gain while it’s completely silent until you can actually hear hissing/humming means that you’ve likely hit the input sensitivity distortion level for your equipment. No harm in this. Actually it’s the preferred procedure to increase gain on the amplifier while in silent until you hear the humming/hissing and then turn it back down a little until it goes away.
Hi , great video as i own an S5 and dealing with the subwoofer rattling . I do have a question , is there anything you could do to reduce the rattling?
Where are you getting the signal from the factory b/o system to run into the audio control lc2. Did you leave the factory sub connected or disconnected. Trying this on my vehicle but it works then shuts down. Just need to know where your getting high level signal from. Thanks
I've got an S3 8V FL, with the upgraded B&O sound system. I want more bass, but don't want to loose any of the OEM look, is this possible to keep that OEM boot look?
The nardo grey with blackout package is nice, but the blue or red I actually prefer the silver trim personally. My S5 is black on black, which is beautiful but impossible to keep clean lol.
If your inputting signal from the B&O sub speaker cables would that not turn the gain up and down? Sorry it’s been a few years since I’ve had a system in my car. Lol
Awesome video, would some sound not come through the factory sub area when all the panels are back on to not have to put that arm rest down? or better yet if using a thin line sub, why not mount under one of the front seats, that way maximising sound in the cabin?
Hi, great video. Good content. I have an A5 Coupe with the B&O system, i'd like to remove all of the rattles from the poor soundproofing. This video explains things very well. Could you give an estimate on how much this would cost?
Great video CBS, I'm in the process of adding a sub to my S5 with the mid range Audi System (I didnt go for the B&O due to it being really no better than Audis mid range system and silly expensive for just a badge, and also reading about the rattling issues!) There is a sub where the B&O goes in your video but open air and alot more accessible. Piggybacking the speaker wire signals from that to a setup similar to yours. Your videos really helped me with the routing of the cables, I didnt want to pull any of the trim off but now I know where stuff goes thanks!
Hello, I’ve got an sq5 2015. That’s got the B&O system which seems very basic and don’t think it’s particularly any good, before the sq5 I had a 67 glc 350 amg premium plus it had a burmester system which was in my opinion far superior, Im looking at upgrading the sq5 system, hopefully I will find a system that is as good as the burmester or better😎😎😎😎
As Gary Summers said .. (4 time Oscar winning sound engineer for films that include: Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, Avatar, Indiana Jones, Terminator 2, Lord of the Rings trilogy ... and *IASCA world champion 2010* - car audio sound quality contest to you and me) "It's all about name recognition and hype!" *Gary Summers on Better Car Audio* ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BGBy2aUtSug.html Regardless of the audio brand inside the car, I'd always skip it on the 'Options List' and go to a professional Installer, who, believe me, can do a lot more ... for a lot less money!
Hi mate, cracking video again. I have a very broad question you might be able to help with 😂🙏🏼. Im getting a Jaguar Xe with the 13 speaker 380w sound system, I already it’s dog shit compared the 1 series I currently have with HK 12 speaker system with a 10” sub I had fitted in the boot, genuinely really happy with the whole system, could be louder, could a tiny bit clearer, but overall I’m happy, with £1000 budget for speakers, what speakers would you recommend replacing and what with, (6.5”/4”/1”) 3 way up front, and (6.5”/1”) 2 way in the rear and cutouts to had speakers to the parcel shelf and I’ll be putting my 10” sub in. I understand it’s a bit broad but any help would be appreciated. Thanks mate 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Unfortunately not on this car until we film another but in other videos we have started showing off the sound of the system but it’s best if you come by and listen to a car in person
White exterior full black carbon interior and bronze Factory 20" wheels oh and I forgot to add bronze striping where there is chrome trims are for instance around the windows and it has to be a 2015 AUDI A5, S5 or RS5.
