Bro thats your garbage sound signature preference. Majority of top sennheisers sound same including IE900. They have a NOTCH around 3-4k instead of a SHOUTY HARMAN BUMP and your ears trained to hear that shitty BUMP. its not quality its making stereo sound feel very NARROW and give you extremely 'in your head'' feeling. Sennheiser kind of tuning gives you airy and WIDE feeling wiht that NOTCH. campfire andromeda 2020, edifier w240tn, tanchjim OLA, IE800 etc have this NOTCHHHH you love that NOTCH or you hate that NOTCH. its the signature to give wide feeling on IEMS.
Of course, and thank you. You always know I do this in love and want to see the best from Sennheiser and from a brand I love. Help me rave about you! ❤️
Will there be a dongle extending the gaming features? I hope you do because for a 500$ (AUD) earbud. It should include high ends features like a usb c dongle.
I just read another review which said these Sennheiser Momentum 4 earbuds are the best earbuds of all when it comes to sound, beating every other competitor (Sony, Airpods Pro, Bose etc) out there at the moment, and then I listen to your review which is critical. No wonder it's impossible for buyers to know what to believe and who to trust and therefore what to buy.
Honestly, I don’t trust 80% of people reviewing audio. So many have horrible ears and taste and have no idea what they’re talking about. Sometimes they describe something about earbuds or headphones I have or have reviewed and I have no idea how they could possibly say something like that unless they have an untrained ear and it’s, for lack of a better word, normie take. You have to look at some products that you know and hear them for yourself and see if what you hear matches what they say. For me, I try to provide as many objective samples as possible and even show the A/B examples of default EQ, and my custom EQ gives some weight that I know what I’m talking about because I can intentionally get a specific sound I’m going for. I can even describe why I’m doing it the way I am and what it does because I can correlate the issues I hear with the problem and fix it. Most people have no idea how to even do that, and I’d be hesitant about those reviews. Not every tech reviewer is an expert at every kind of tech. We all have our strengths and weaknesses. Watch accordingly. I view audio products from the perspective of a Audio Engineer that focuses on MIXING. I'm a MIXING ENGINEER which means Mix the music and things you listen to and adjust it to sound the way I want it to sound for the end user. I'm NOT an audiophile. I do not care about graphs and all the stuff they care about. I care about how to make things sound good, that's why I EQ so much. Most audiophiles are pretty strict about not EQing things. Also, keep in mind that I’m literally being paid by Sennheiser to make content on their own platforms, yet I’m still critical of them. Money doesn’t sway me. Definitely something to consider when you evaluate the integrity of my reviews.
@thisistechtoday I totally disagree with this. Of course, the sound you hear may vary from person to person. I used TWS 1,2,3 and 4. I can say that 3 and 4 are almost the same. 2 sucked. 1 was broken. In the 4th version, the sound is very clear and the volume is very sufficient, just like Apple AirPods Pro 2. But you can never get the detailed sounds and bass intensity in AirPods Pro 2 as in TWS 3/4. How do I know if a headphone is good? not by putting it through any electronic testing. If it gives me pleasure when I listen to a song I don't like, it means I've found the best headphones. Sennheiser headphones can definitely do this.. In summary, TWS4 is a headset that gives the most detailed sound and where you can hear the best bass. Incomparably better than Airpods
I own EX2s, Ap P2, AZ80s and MTW4s. For volume and best quality sound and deep rich bass, the EX2 is my undisputed champ. Then the MTW4s, 3rd AZ80, Ap P2 last. Each of these excels at one thing but I place the MTW4s as my favorite earbud because they sound close to the EX2s and fit the best to my ears, plus the app has great features. It depends on what you prioritize because none of these does everything well and at the end of the day fit and sound preference is subjective, hell we listen to different music which has an effect on how you want it to sound. The Ap P2 have the best ANC but the worst fit for me. My review would say they rather suck but if they fit great to you, one might say they're amazing. Ultimately you'll have to purchase one and make your choice, all the reputable brands have return policies. I returned the Sony XM5s 15 minutes after opening for example, for me they were horrible.
I used to MTW3, since the same issue occurs for 3 times. I decided to buy Denon PerL Pro. Honestly, the sound quality way better than MTW3, I hope the replacement unit for my MTW3 will be MTW4 next month so I can compare it both
Over the last couple weeks I've tried the Bose quietcomfort ultra's, Sony 1000xm5's, the Jabra elite 10's and these Momentum true wireless 4's. And I have to say overall these Sennheiser momentum 4's not only have the best sound but are also overall the best IMO. I will say when I first put them in I was very disappointed. But then I adjusted them properly in my ears and it made a WORLD of difference. I was blown away. I've been reading some bad reviews online from people that have purchased them complaining about sound quality and bass. I'm wondering if they just didn't have them fitted properly. The only other true wireless earbuds I want to give a try are the Technics AZ80's. But I absolutely LOVE the sennheiser's so much that I'm sticking with them. I went back to android from iPhone so I wanted to replace my airpods pro 2's, which is how all this started for me. These definitely out perform the airpods.
CORRECTION at 6:01 - That is ANC mode. Not sure where my brain was during both the tests and edit. I must have hypnotized myself into thinking it was transparency because I said it on camera that I wrote it on screen. 🤦♂
i have been using Momentum 3s for last 2 years since it was launched and this is my 3rd piece because i get to get it the 3rd time from warranty as 1 of the earpiece would stop charging and i was blaming myself as i might have somehow broke it. Thank you for clearing it out. I feel relaxed now.
What you said about losing customers is so spot on, I'm ready to buy my next TW earbuds and I'm not sure I want to get the sennheiser's anymore. That actually makes me upset
Respect. You highlighted the MTWS4 short comings and history of failure right off the jump. Most reviewers glanced over or buried it at the very end of the video. Amazing review, there’s truly levels to RU-vid content and yours is top tier.
Thank you for taking so much time and work in testing out these MTW 4s'!! 🙌🙌 In your comparison video - if you could, please include the Jabra Elite 10, Technics AZ-80 and the Denon Pearl Pros?? Apparently they have been highly recommended too. Looking forward to that comparison video and really like the tech instruments you use in your videos!!
No plans for those. Sorry. I can’t fit more than four into a video and I put in the most popular in because it makes it sustainable. Notice that the fourth slot is the less popular one (Sennheiser).
@@ThisIsTechToday - that's ok. I understand you cannot have them all in one video. Please consider them for your next comparison video. The Technics AZ 80 and Jabra Elite 10 would be an interesting addition as you haven't reviewed them and I think the Bose Ultra's are only great for 1 thing - ANC... And I think there's really no point to include the Air Pod Pro 2s' because most people with an iPhone will buy them, regardless. And for me, they're great for 2 things - calls, transparency mode and ANC but like you pointed out, not much customization... I think the Sennheiser MTW 4 is not so popular due to the RRP. I think it would be different if they were $200 - $250.
This is exactly how I felt when I bought them yesterday. Every reviewer is saying they sound so great best in the class but they sounded extremely muddy and flat to me. I was regretting my purchase, then I saw this video got the membership and tried the custom EQ. Bro let me tell you this dude isn't lying about the 7mm driver being more than capable of producing the quality entire earphone flipped on its head extremely crisp highs, instrument separation and clear mids. My only suggestion would be to crack 62hz a Lil bit to get that energy in songs other than the membership is worth it for the eq itself
Bro!!! Thanks so much for the feedback and kind words. I’m so glad that you were able to calibrate yourself to my reviews to see if they were reputable as well as enjoy my custom EQ and find it valuable for the membership. I really appreciate the feedback!
I more than just liked it!! Very informative, comprehensive and entertaining!! Addressed all my queries!! I could hear the difference between the stock EQ and your EQ from my TV speakers. Your own custom EQ made these buds come alive - sounded so much better but of course in most cases the stock EQ is too flat and boring just like other brands. I suppose that's why they give you this adjustable EQ. The wind reduction feature is very effective and the ANC is better than the TW M3s'. I don't really care about the transparency or spatial audio features. I think Sennheiser just wants us to create an account and use their personalised EQ feature. They done the same thing with their M2s', made them come alive... But I just used the standard EQ in the app for my M3s' and that made them sound dope!! I do prefer the V-shape sound signature...
After my MTW 3 broke recently, I bought the MTW 4 and most reviews state that they sound very similar to the version 3. Which I can hardly believe. I would be very interested in a direct comparison between the two, and as of now I would judge the 3 are superior. The ANC mode is changing the sound profile massively (Firmware 5.6.1), gaining bass which you cannot replicate using the EQ. Such great changes in the sound profile when turning ANC on or off, should not be that noticeable. The lack in space is omnipresent, also different from the 3. I played with the EQ over 5h now and I cannot get them to sound as the 3, which is a huge bummer. They do not sound bad, they sound great, but something is always missing no matter what you do. Looking forward to in-depth analysis if this is planned.
I just fixed my TW3 last night. Open the case and shock the battery with a 5 V source. My buds are still under warranty period. Just safe my own time. Some guys said they changed few pairs during the warranty. Don't know how true is that
I am glad they can be tuned to be more audiophile quality. I just bought these after some serious research but I am still very new to all this. For context I am upgrading from the Mpow M30s which are about 30 dollars. Tried out my dad's 300 dollar Sennheiser headphones and realized I bought a bunch of high quality music that I am not nearly getting to hear properly. I knew there would need to be some tuning with EQ but did not realize how much was going to be needed. Will be joining to get the audio profile because it did sound much more like what I want.
Auracast would be great for museums. There are museums that hand out headsets for exhibit explanations. I've been waiting for the day when one can just use their personal device(s) for this. Auracast would also be great when you want to hear the audio for a sporting event that is being shown in a bar but for which they're not playing the audio. I've been waiting for this as well.
You should try the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds next. I bought them and believe they are the best open earbuds right now even when the price is quite high. Best remote work/running earbuds.
can I ask this and Beolay Ex which one is better in sound quality? or if you can recommend any better? thank you so so much, cause every time I watched your review I can see that you know what are you talking about therefore your points are valid. love to hear back from you, thank you so so much
So what’s the best choice after all? I’m looking for earbuds which won’t fall off (most of them does) with nice sound quality and very good active noise reduction. I’m not audiophile and I don’t know how to play with eq. I just want to hear what artist / movie director wants me to hear, while not hearing noise around me (like during low cost flights). I can spend some more money, but also I don’t want to pay for something I’m not 100% satisfied with
I've got the Momentum 3's and I solved the eq problem by using the JetAudio app as my music player which has a good multiband eq in it. Dropped most of the midrange bands, and the 60H band, and lightly boosted the other lows, and everything over 5KHz to varying degrees. Much better
I remember having the first generation of these buds and they would always drop out whenever I was near power lines and traffic lights. They were useless for walking around the city during my lunch breaks. I returned them and never looked back. I hope they have addressed those issues after all these years.
Hey love your work, would you do a review on the Denon Perl Pro’s by any chance? People seem to have good things to say about them & I’d love your opinion on them
Thanks for such a review, had seen conflicting views about the MTW4s being a sound tweak with the same drivers as the MTW3s. Though not a earbud, would love to see your review about the Edifier Stax Spirit S3
I own both and for outright sound quality, the EX2s are better. But the EX2 have almost zero ANC, and ambient pass through is weak, plus their app is abysmal. I place the MTW4s above for the overall package, but if it's great quality sound ang higher volume, richer bass, the EX2 is the winner.
Among the same products I've ever used, it was the best in all aspects including cost-effectiveness. Unfortunately, I forgot. I bought 4 of these products and gave them as gifts to my close relatives.
Additionally after some time without music playing (in transparent mode) you will here something like you have tinnitus in one of the ears from one of the earbud. And no I am not only one noticing this. With 5.3.5 firmware they are not working with window 11 and also they have problem to automatically connect to pixel phones. There is workaround for windows 11 and I guess they can fix pixels issue with firmware updates but not sure about tinnitus issue. In this price range I must say this is unacceptable. Regardless of price range paring should not be an issue in 2024.
Yes, the beepy whining. You can sort of hear it in the test. Didn't know that about the Pixel. I'll look into it. You're right. They gotta get their software figured out.
Can you turn the ANC completely off? (Unlike their Momentum 4 headphones, the closest is transparency which is not the same as ANC off at all), it is the reason (only reason) I returned mine as ANC gives me brutal headaches.
I don’t normally post but I absolutely love your reviews! So thank you! Question: Would this be a good replacement for APP2 if I am in the Apple ecosystem? Is it worth the price, in terms of quality and all the issues that the mark 3 faced?
I had charging issues with the momentum wireless 3. I returned them after 1,5 years and getting a momentum 4 as I am still on guarantee period. I really hope the M4 has improved the quality issues in terms of charging
You can change the codec type yourself on the pixel by going into developer mode on almost all Bluetooth devices. Of course different codecs will give better quality or battery drain.
In curious if they've resolved the massive issues the previous ones have had. I loved Jabras and bought the 8 gen 2 and was so disappointed with its issues. It's like Jabra just fired the quality assurance team when they announced the earbud division shutdown.
Very nice video man, congrats. But please do one thing and do a comeback video. Please let the case battery drain completley and also the buds battery, see if they recover as i dont trust Sennheiser any more.
@ThisIsTechToday from your experience why do the Sennheiser mtw line has a problem with beeping and dies other earbuds have the same problem. I bad this with mtw 2, mtw 3 and mtw 4.
When I compare my MTW3 to my B&O EX and B&W PI7, i find them sounding too exact, too precise, just too realistic. Too good to be true basically, but they really are this good to my ear. Looking forward for a chance to have a listen with the new model. Sennheiser knows what makes a good flagship. Thank you for your review
Please Please can you make a video of MOMENTUM 4 headphones vs MOMENTUM 3s I believe that the same problem of muffled mids and much less airy soundstage (which doesn’t do enough justice to their marvellous 42 mm drivers with unmatched potential !) is there in my momentum 4s and SENNHEISER can acknowledge it through your esteemed content👍 and provide with some great firmware updates for this concern!
Thank you for a great review, ur always amazing. I had 2 questions. 1. When connecting to a google pixel phone, are yours also not automatically conencting anf taken out of case? 2. Whats the best codec to use in you opinion for a google pixel 8 pro?
I haven’t checked yet. Codecs are always nice but not a make or break. I know of earbuds with pretty basic codecs that sound better out of the box. Don’t worry about them as much as the tuning.
My personal hearing loss seems to be in the same frequency range as the Momentum 4's weakness. I currently use an equalizer curve that approximates my hearing aids. How might I combine your custom EQ with the results of my hearing exam? Listening using my hearing aids is poor. I use a high end Chromebook and a Samsung Z Flip 3. Chromebooks don't have lossless codecs. What codec would you recommend on my Samsung Z Flip 3's. And when the Z Flip 3 (or 5 if I spend the money) gets auracast and LC3. Are there ways to add or replace codecs on Chromebooks or Android 14?
Great review i returned my MTW4 call quality was terrible, multiple factory resets still no improvement. I'm writing to see if you've had any time with the Devialet Gemini 2. Thanks for any input from anyone God Bless
To be honest, I prefer the stock EQ rather than your custom EQ. Your custom EQ has too much sibilance for my taste. I'm also quite disappointed with the microphone performance during calls, Sennheiser could have done better. But overall they seem like a solid choice.
I haven't listened to the momentum 4's but I've used the momentum 2's. About the sound quality. Out of the box, I was very disappointed about them at first. As an experienced listener on many different headphones and stereo systems, I could instantly tell they had a big problem, especially in the midrange frequency spectrum, which made voices and instruments sound muffled and suppressed. Comparable to your remarks in this video. After some research, they turned out to have a huge dip (approx. 11 dB around 4200 Hz) in this region compared to the Harman target curve. With equalization, fortunately these drives DO sound pretty good though, and I'm still using them. This saved them for me, otherwise they would be unusable. A simple bump of this amount in any equalizer (preferably system wide) will fix it in the case of the M2. So same story as the MT4 it sounds. For anyone not willing to do this, these Sennheiser consumer products do not live up to the expectation of getting a neutrally frequency curved product.
I definitely agree that the out of the box sound for the MW3 sound horrible. I had to download a 12 band EQ to fine tune it to my liking. Do you think I should try the XM5 earbuds by Sony or upgrade to MTW 4? I heard a lot of good things about the XM5.
So I now have Jabra 8 (got them for the bass) and MW4 (got them as a replacement for the dead MW3 under warranty). As far as Spotify goes, I choose the Jabra. I’m really trying to set up the MW4 with a good sound, but rhe equalizer is trash, the custom sound is close, but the bass can’t compare to the Jabra. If I had to use them purely for non-bass activities - I’d go MW4. While on the Jabra, I still miss the good ANC and the touch controls of the Sennheiser. Don’t miss the fast degradation of the battery and the early death of the right earphone, though.
I strongly feel they should have made an update of design . . . just a fine tune it a bit / slimmer case, refined depth so you can accidently sleep in them . . . at least. Just not sure the internal upgrades and color options are worth the upgrade.
My MTW1 had a battery issue. The ear buds turned on inside the case until all battery got to zero. The battery of the case died after 6 months... Last year I bought the MTW3 and 2 months later one earbud died. I sent them back for repair. After a month I was offered to be refund or wait for the version 4 to come out. I haven't picked up my MTW4 yet but I am worried about the next issue I will get. If these fail that will be the last time I ever buy Sennheiser for sure.
I've been really curious about these bc I have the momentum 4 over ears and they sound phenomenal. They sound so good that I can't take them off when I come home from work lol
Sent my TW 3 for repairs a couple of times as the right earpiece would often have defective battery, during my 3rd request for repair they told me that they will just replace it with the newer TW4. form factor for both models is the same but sound profile for the newer model TW4 is more subdued, you don’t get that punchy bass anymore to which I really miss if not for the faulty battery of the TW 3 I would not say Yes to it being replaced
I just bought MTW4 and I like them, the way the fit in my ears, the sound is beefy. Before that I had B&O EX and I liked the sound of them, really nice sounding, good separation of sounds (stereo) but, for me personally, the didn’t fit well in my ears, because of that ANC was also bad and I wasn’t able to use them without constantly checking and adjusting the way they fit. So, for me personally, MTW4 is a good upgrade from B&O EX
I purchased the Sennheiser Audio MOMENTUM True Wireless 3 with high expectations in September 2022 , given the brand's reputable standing in audio quality. Initially, the sound quality and fit were exceptional, aligning with Sennheiser's promises. However, my experience took a downturn in November 2023. The battery life, crucial for wireless earbuds, deteriorated rapidly to the point of no return. Despite careful charging and maintenance, the earbuds now refuse to charge, rendering them useless. This has been a significant letdown, especially considering the premium price point. These earbuds were not a worthwhile investment due to their short lifespan. For potential buyers, I'd recommend considering other options that offer better longevity and customer satisfaction.
I got these on sale today. If I don't like them I will return them and get the Technics or Bose which were not currently available in the store. I have 30 days to return them. That's plenty of time.
Im new to them and were quiet happy with the sound of the over head M4s but returned them due to QC issues. Im hoping the MT4s are better because i wont be going back if they have QC issues.
They're pretty flat and muffled out of the box that's for sure. Running the personalization software helps a lot, but I wish it would let you do it with the audio you listen to vs the default audio provided by Sennheiser. Also, not sure if this a widespread issue on Android but on the Pixel 8 series there's an annoying bug where the earbuds won't connect automatically each time they're brought out of the case. Not to mention the stereo to mono drops happens randomly even when the device is in range. I'm sure these issues can be fixed with software updates. But it's not a good look for a high end product and makes it seem like they were rushed.
After 1 month my Sennheiser MTW4 stopped charging. The case says 100% with a green light, but both Earbuds are currently at 10% and refuse to charge at all. The Case Batt Percentage no longer shows in the App. The led slow flashes red constantly with or without the earbuds in the case. Now it has stopped flashing red but instead shows nothing, unless you plug in the charge lead which shows green. I have tried every reset available and shortly my earbuds batts will drop to 0% and the unit will be dead. Thankyou Sennheiser, I have grown up with your company since the first Yellow over ear pad designs in the 80s but this shit is just junk!!! How you charge AUD $499 for a v4 of the same issues from previous revisions is beyond me!! I'm attempting to send them back and they can stick them where the sun doesn't shine. I took a gamble with Battery earbuds because of Sennheiser's name, I won't make that mistake again.
I just received these today. I was so excited to get them. BUT the hiss noise with ANC even without it when no music is playing is unbearable. At this price there shouldn't be this kind of drawback. I will be returning these to Amazon. 😫
Another audio engineer chiming in: These don't sound dark to me at all, and I find no need to EQ in any more higher frequencies. Calling the sound mushy and "being under a couch" sounds like insanity from my experience. The separation is really good IMO. I find it very interesting that we can have such a different experience. Are our ears that different, or is "good" sound just that subjective? The five band EQ isn't great tho like you are saying, the compression it makes it pretty useless.
The EX has a a bit more bass/depth. The MW4 have it beat on everything else. I completely disagree with what he said about AirPods, meaning there is not reason to choose the AirPods over the EX’s by B&O or the MW4, only if you value ANC over all other features of earbuds in general. For all other features (including ANC), but especially sound quality then don’t choose the AirPods. The MW4 are top right now because they hit all marks. If you want a bit more depth in the bass or a larger sound stage for bass then choose EX, if you want better sound separation then lean towards MW4.
I don't think these need more bass and depth...it's a boomy, bassy, congested tuning already. You can disagree, but you may have missed the nuance as you talked past it in your comment. APP2 is the best "overall" for iOS, but it is not necessarily the best in one or every category. It's not sexy, but stable and solid. Most other options that excel in one area do not in others. MW4 does not hit all the marks. They have static issues in transparency and tuning issues. Those are significant.
I can't believe they are watching the video right now!, but for real tho, thanks for the review, I am still going to buy these because I love the brand and I want to support their work, and since I see they put attention to what you say they might come around and improve in those flaws you pointed out, cheers :)
I bought the momentum 2s back when they originally cane out, mainly for gym use. Later i bought the original air pods pro for everything else which saw more use and abuse. Clearly i loved the sound in the Senheisers more but as of yesterday they no longer hold a charge where as the air pods pro are going strong. Longevity wise spending $300 for another set of senheisers is holding me back mainly because of the issues im having with the 2s.
these sennheiser momentum 4 earbuds i had were fantastic, for 4 months, and it happened, for some strange reason the earbuds have NOT been re-charging from the case, the case registers at 100%, the earbuds at 20% NOT INCREASE beyond 20% i have tried EVERYTHING, the case and earbuds have been PERFECTLY CLEANED, i have GIVEN UP, my remaining (jabra elite 10 earbuds) work PERFECTLY, i have noticed that the two small round gold colored connecters (on the jabra 10 elite) are much larger than the 4 smaller round connectors (on the sennheiser momentum 4 ) i wonder if there is anything to "that"?
I wish Apple would bring better codec support to earbuds that have Qualcomm aptX and other higher listening options. I feel like they are only helping the sound of the Beats and Apple AirPods/Airpods Pro user with Dolby Atmos and Spatial Audio upgrades. I don’t like the 360 soundstage and would rather have strong audio sound. I tried the SONY WF-1000XM5 and they really sucked with the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Not very clear, a little tinny and low bass response overall. I am hoping that the Sennheiser Momentum Wireless 4 will have a better sound and bass response. I guess being an Apple lover you have to love Apple products and not upgrade to better sounding hardware.
Will agree the out of the box sound of both the momentum 3 and 4 sucks and if on iPhone you’re screwed if relying on the 5 band built in app EQ. That said with a fair amount of patience and trials I think one can resurrect these with that “sound personalization” area As a bit of an audio nerd who has plenty of money tied up in his home system and can use that as a reference, I think I’ve found some settings that work quite well I do still hear some weird things going on, occasionally compressive or something but pretty good overall To work that hard though, playing with a really odd EQ program that it’s not really clear what’s going on, seems like they designed something for the mass market. I made it work but sheesh!
Spot on! It’s totally for the mass market, but also, making it sound so blah by default isn’t the wisest choice if it’s intended to be adjusted with sound personalization. Not everyone will use that or notice it. It also makes it a pain in the butt to review. How else am I to review it but at its baseline? Otherwise the variables become unsustainable. Either way, glad you’re having the same thoughts as me and that I am representing it well. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
Hopefully these are better than the Sennheiser TWS3's were, quality wise. Great sound, but garbage otherwise. I had nothing but problems with them. They charge "sometimes" (need to clean the charging points daily). They lose volume levels all the time, which requires a factory resets to fix...the firmware update then does not work...one bud just seems to quit randomly, and since the only way to fix this is to put them in and out of the case again, it means I need the case on me all the time. I also read many reviews from people with the same problems, they got so bad, I switched back to my Audio Technicas.
In that factory they should test their employees because their products just fall apart after some weeks, like my MTW3 replaced 2 times for failing charging issues and the third pair just died again after 2 month. In 6 month i received 3 poor quality products that performed phenomenal but with quality issues like this don´t deserve their high price point at all! I am done with Sennheiser which is a shame because they really sounded great if they work, i lost the receipt anyway so no more replacements. Probably better that way because now i am forced to get anything which i actually can enjoy music on, instead of running to the shops with failing products!
My MTW 3 had battery issues so Sennheiser replaced it with the MTW 4. Weirdly the sound is different and lack of bass even after i did the sound customization.. i wonder why.. a bit disappointed to be honest..
same, every 3 months i should bring it to the service center, they fixed it in 2 months, so it means i only use it for 1 month everytime it broken, lol, then now i got upgrade to MTW4 from them for free, i havent used it, i am still scared it would be broken again lol
@@culesmadridista What are you going to do? I'm in the same situation, my MTW3's broke twice, on the 2nd return they sent MTW4's, got them last week, I'm wondering if I should sell them or keep them. I know they've changed battery supplier, but is that enough...
1:06 I completely agree. I use comply foam eartips on my MTW3 and they make them so much better. My ear canals pinch the regular eartips and cuts off sound when moving my jaw which makes them unusable. With foam eartips I don't have that issue. I also tried the spinfit eartips and whith them the issue is less but still there and they destroy the bass completely. Comply foam durability is horrible tho, each pair lasts me about 2 months so I need to buy a 3-pack every half year
@@ThisIsTechToday i see, I was also thinking that your super detailed review would be too much effort for countless budget tws. Better save it for high ends 😂
I am just trying to find new earbuds but at 07:58 he mentions a giant comparison video, he mentions it should be put out "in a month" in a 6month old video, but I cant find this comparison video? Sorry, Im just trying to decide whether I should buy the MTW 4, the Sony M5, or the Jabra elite 10.
These are better than a lot of earbuds out there but it’s also preference as they are bigger and also bass heavy. It definitely depends what you want to hear and also what you are using them for. But saying that just because some one says they are great or someone says they don’t like them, it’s not always a lie. Everyone will have their own opinion
Thanks for the Video, Glas i went for the xm5 after your Video on those😅 only thing that would get me to choose the sennheiser over the xm5 is fit, i had a really hard time with the Sonys, Tool Beatles a month and 50bucks on eartips to get it right. And if the sennheiser fit anywhere like the 1gen that would be awesome
