The audio is much, much better now, but the narration is still clipping. That's probably as easy as moving the microphone further away from my face and just living with not being able to hear myself over the noise of the engine. This was primarily just a test flight, but there are updates regarding airplane maintenance, etc.

Koger uses high quality double-sided tape on their SunShades; my SunShade is six years and 630+ hours old and shows no sign of tape degradation from our south Texas sun. Can't imagine flying my RV-12 without it. Blue skies and tailwinds!

I’m mostly worried about two of the tape strips that I couldn’t get completely free of air bubbles no matter how hard I pressed on them. Time will tell. I’m sure happy to finally have one!

Congratulations on your grandsons that is awesome. It does not seem that long ago that your copilot brought a friend who is a boy over to help. I need to get on the stick and finish my RV 12. On those really hot days just remember back to the cone of comfort days should make the heat a little more bearable. Thanks for sharing all the videos and experiences Dave

I wish I could help with your 12. I have the itch to build again, but not the scratch.

You like to be on the water? Try sailing. A small trailerable day sailer would do the trick. Try the Flying Scot built at Oakland, MD. They are great 19 foot sloops. Easy to rig and sail. And it's a lot of fun! The design has a large regatta family cruising class and a large competitive racing class. You can spend years growing into the class. And they are reasonably priced. Look them up.

Actually, for awhile I was looking for a small sailboat with simple rigging and a flat, thin transom that could hold the trolling motor and serve as a dual purpose (sailing/fishing) boat. I've had sail boats before and even took a week long live-aboard sailing school on a 38' catamaran down Florida. www.schmetterlingaviation.com/2012/05/ahoy.html I haven't ruled out getting a sail boat again someday, but it would have to be smaller than 19'. For now there is a guy in my CAP squadron that can use some crew help now and then - I'm going to hop aboard his boat (I don't know what kind it is yet) next month.
