Heavy???!!! I still hold the trophy for the heaviest watts per square inch! The 5000 watt SoundXtreme 2 channel looks a CSX boxcar! I'll have to upload it with the title: ????? C'mon y'all.... Help me out 😭😭😂😂
If running it at 1 ohm, you’d want a “big 3” and AGM battery at least. At 2 ohms or 4 ohms you wouldn’t need the upgrades. Anything over 1000 watts would benefit from an upgraded alternator, even if just a little bit.
Personally speaking, I have the WA-2K running at 1 ohm on 2 12" Diamond Audio MK-6 D4's , using 4 gauge power and ground ( around 15ft power run), with the stock 110amp alternator and a Group 94R AGM battery. Getting down with it, voltage will drop to the high 10's (not good) @ 2000rpm. I would highly suggest upgrading the alternator when using this amplifier to its full potential. I have not clamped it yet to see how much current is pulled, but hope to soon, schedule permitting. Thanks to Joe for this amazing little powerhouse, would have never known about it without his content that just randomly appeared in my suggested videos one day. I was ordering breakers for a subpanel when it appeared, no idea as to why, but it happened, lol. Enjoy your amplifier, I flog mine several hours a day without an issue.
I humbly request you do a review of autotek TA 2055.1 or 2050.1 next week and do its dyno test we see its rms is true or gimmicks. Thanks, Your loyal subscriber
