As long as you listen using the DAC (e. g. CD or streaming) the Omnia sounds considerably better than the 6000 combo. Believe it or not. The new DAC and its implementation mob the floor with the combo. (ESS Sabre 9018 in the 6000-Series vs. 9038 in the Omnia).
What an excellent review, TJ. Thank you. I will certainly buy the Omnia as it does everything I need. I listen mostly to Classical music, and will probably buy bookshelf speakers. Any recommendations? Again thanks for a great review.

The Audiolab Omnia is a perfect solution for my living room system. A flatscreen on a credenza with Technics SB CR-55's on the sides of it. It's a 2.0 System with an old Audiosource Amp 100 and a SMSL Sanskrit 10'th dac. Then when surround sound is activated by removing grills, moving Cat Tree out of the room, and switching the rca switchbox so the surround processor hijacks the main L R amp. Then the JBL Go 2 Speakers are turned on in the back corners of the room. I could use the Omnia to replace the Sanskrit Dac, Main Amp and RCA switcher. (No Center or Sub BTW) (A Master learning remote is used to make dac volume the tv volume, separate buttons for Surr. Volume.)

Dude, you do the absolute best stereo reviews. I wish I would have found your channel sooner. I like that you actually demonstrate and show the product. The Omnia is everything I've been looking for in a modern stereo system. All I wanted was a CD player, music streamer and most importantly an audio visualizer. As an 80s hifi child that loves music but not an "audiophile" the Omnia has everything I could want. Great video!

Thanks Tee - Jay, i wasn't going to buy this, however its on sale in the UK for £725, its an absolute bargain, it does have that little extra in the midrange which makes it perfect for me . Would you still recommend the triangles, over the Dali or Quads .
MAN that's up to you which speaker your going to like better 🔺️comete aren't as hard to drive as the 40th Comete those 40th like some power measured them at 2.5 ohms ! regular Triangles are a solid 6 ohms different driver and tweeter ' I tell ya though they are both have a detailed sound and a warm chacter ' Tonality is 🔥

Have you got the possibility to test the Technics SA-C600? I'm very interested in it and there's hardly anyone reviewing it alone. Most, if they even cover it, review it alongside their bookshelves, whereas I'm interested in that integrated all in one as a standalone piece. Thank you in advance and I appreciate your integrity, humble yet you know and have experienced more than the average listener.
Yes, you could save cable money with an all-in-one amplifier and also the operation is simplier because you don't need to turn on and off the components one by one. However, I still prefer componets because I'm a simple man. I only need a CD player and an amplifer. Great reviews as always TJ!
I feel ya i only stream 5-10 percent of the time , but i was starting to like it a little bit lol but c.d. still sound better . The 5 way binding post is nice along with the 4:3 inch screen also i used Omnia as a dedicated transport with its digital outputs . 😃

Can the Pre Amp Output and Power Input be used like a Tape Monitor Loop? I'd like to try using this with an old Kenwood EQ/Spectrum Analyzer that has Pre In/Out as well as Line In/Out.
I didn't try that and I have a Sansui SE9 - No this will not work I remb because you can not be in Pre mode and amp mode at the same time !!! Because you choose between 3 modes pre/power Integrated ' So if you choose pre mode amp doesn't work and if you choose amp input pre doesn't work ' but but you could leave Omnia in 'Integrated amp mode" but a more easy way would be to run your Transport to your eq then from your eq run to input of omnia - you tested my 🧠 😆are you trying to use internal Phono Pre ? If so NO - and you couldn't use for built in phono/streamer/cd/bt only with your Transport '
I've got the 6000a and I love it and I'm thinking of buying the Buchardt s4oo mk 2 speakers to pair with it, Do you think I should get a power amp to use with the 6000a and which one would you recommend.
Hey David , Audiolab has a couple different dedicated amps monoblocks And the 8300xp i reviewed is a Beast! But i am about to review the 8300a dual mono integrated amp and its on another level !! It has shocked me !! Nexted week i will be reviewing !! Far as a amp reccomendation for 6000a depends on your budget 1st try the 6000a on its own b4 buying outboard amp the 6000a may be enough power for the bucharts !! Ask Zero fidelity he has had both amp and speakers !!
My reservations is the bypass 'power' input for home cinema only works when you use the unit with its dedicated speaker outputs, the 6000a is the same, if you use these with power amplifiers it renders the 'power', home theatre option as useless, and you have to use one of the aux inputs. Great video though
Hold up !! I used my Marantz Home theater recivers preouts for front L/R channel connected to amp input on both audiolabs and my Marantz works just as a preamp and controls the Audiolab. Make sure when you use 6000a/Omnia as a power amp that you select pre/power mode Not Integrated amp nor preamp mode you have to switch to this mode ! If you leave in Integrated amp mode yes this will Happen ! And you will have to use aux 1/2/3 input and you will have to control volume by audiolabs volume control . Trust me i done solved this problem for a subscriber he was so dam happy he wanted to send me money ! Lol I run off of passion . So 1st make sure your in pre/power mode. 2nd make sure your preouts from Home theater Preamp/Reciever is on . 😃 . Try this and comment back i got You !! (Audiolab pre/power mode)

Not what I meant etc. If you use the 6000a as a pre amp, with power amps, and input to the 6000a 'POWER' input from the outputs of a avr (Front L & R), it doesnt work. If you just keep the 6000a as an intergrated it works fine etc, but not if you use it with a power amp. As you said, the 6000a is a marvellous sounding amplifier, albeit a little lacking in output, hence my choice to use two Iota vx power amps for the left and right front channels and it sounds fantastic, but if you input from an avr to the audiolabs rca 'power' input, it doesnt work, keep up the good work.
It should work if you go to Prepower mode ? And yeah the Iota Pa3 is an outstanding amp ! I have a friend that has 3 of them for his fron channels i was like dude you going to need a power Strip 😆 he wants to buy 2 more and have all his 5 channels each having a pa3 (monobridged) lol crazy !!
@@tee-jaythestereo-bargainph2120 Try it, it doesnt work, its a bad oversight on audiolabs behalf , great amp the 6000a, woldnt swap it for anything. The Iotavx pa3 must be the best undiscovered bargain out there, Ive tried quite a few power amps, mostly bargain priced ones, tibo, Emotiva. I currently use an emotiva power amp for my left and right fronts, 2 channel, its good, its very good, but its not as good as the Iotavx pa3, longevity could be a different thing, I arent sure. @hubert-williams3379 you using wifi you mean ?you should be able to stream ' but can be tricky just read the manuel ' you'll have ro put in your wifi password with Omnia
