I just came back to the game and this was so simple and made what to do click in my head. No long winded explainations, no going over the tooltips of every single skill and talent, just straight to the point of what your aim should be.
Yeah thanks for that video. Wanted to get back to wow and saw this special support role. I love support my allies. But as you start at a high level, the sheer amount of skills and short cooldowns can overwhelm me easily. This helps to sort out situational and substantial skills.
This is a great video. Short, sweet and to the point. I think more like this for different specs would be really helpful to new players and beneficial to the community. Well done!
Prescience has extremely varied pronunciations based on region and dialect. British English pronunciation is “preh-see-ense” most American English is “pree-shuns” though some say “preh-shuns.” Same applies to other words sharing the same suffix. Omniscience for example.
@@NoConsequenc3 it's not wrong, it's just putting emphasis on PRE- and saying the -SCIENCE part slower. if you say pree-see-ens and slow it down, you can see how it's like saying pre science but really fast.
Such a good video. Short, sweet and to the point. So many guide videos are entirely too long and it makes it confusing. This is clear and concise. Thank you!
@@Jedithtv I'm just wondering for the rotation wouldn't it be better to use your tip the scales dragon breath after you use breath of eons to maximize damage in that buff?
I'm back to wow a few months ago, your video was incredible for me to understand better the Augumentation evoker. Can i ask you to share your aura? Thank you Jedith! Greetings from Brazil!
I was looking for a guide for a first timer Dracthyr Augmentation and thought to myself "will be cool see a guide says for dummies" press enter... Jackpot!
cool i actually was confused from other guide saing "you have to target an ally with that crit chance…." but my brain was like „but its auto target xc“
Had t look up what attunement looks like for keys u want bronze to go fast until you get to boss or harder trash mobs swap to Black for more HP if it matters. Some debate online to why out of any stance dance type classes Evoker is only 1 with a 3sec cd but it kinda makes sense seeing its a grp "buff" that you dont weant to manipulate or constantly change. Pick 1 or the others!
Came back to WoW having not played since WotLk. Rolled an Evoker thinking haven’t seen them before. I got to about lvl 35 and it hit me. I’m basically playing a handicapped fire mage. I’m struggling to enjoy it.
Is there a playlist you have made with simple rotations ‘for dummies’ which has more classes & specs? I’m new to WoW so would love to have such a video for other classes :p
Good stuff! I manually toss out prescience on people..thats quite annoying..feels like a healer trying to dps but not really..so maybe its better to just press it and let ai handle it..
brilliant video, thank you for this clear and concise guide! I do have a question though, being used to Devastation, why do we emphasize fully charged empower spells by default here? especially fire breath? Thanks!
Any guidance on trash or questing rotation changes? Basically just dont burn the long cooldowns? Feels like even the best guides (such as this one) dont differentiate between trash and boss rotations, makes me feel like im missing some expected knowledge.
Aren't you going to want to cast Fire Breath and Upheaval AFTER you cast Breath of Eons to add to the damage? If you cast them before Breath you're missing out on damage, and they won't be up before the Breath window is up
It’s more about the rest of your groups dmg inside breath of eons, not yours. Using your empowered spells first gives them shifting sands vers % and time to actually ramp up into their cds
@@mmbrown82 there's a whole new xpac that changed a lot of talents. Removed some and added others. Could be the same but now that the game included the Hero Talent system this old link won't work.
Out of interest why, breath of eons after fire breath and upheavel? Wouldn't it be better to cast it first so you can build the damage from fire breath and upheavel?
Breath of eons isn’t about our damage inside of the buff but our party’s damage. Delaying it gives your friends a few seconds to ramp up their damage and leads to more dmg inside the window. Your empowered spells also give your friends versatility - that’s what mastery does for augmentation. So you give them the vers buff THEN breath of eons. If you breath of eons first, then you end up wasting the couple seconds it takes to channel the empowered spell and they don’t have the vers buff for those few seconds
@@Jedithtv yeah I realized my mistake right after commenting lol. I’ve only ever played warrior, death knight and paladin and completely forgot intellect is a primary stat
I'm dumber than a dummy. This guide requires an understanding of how evoker works and how augmentation spells work. I still have no idea what augmentation does or how to play them. Thanks.
Because it’s not about your dmg inside of the windows, it’s about your team mates and most classes peak damage doesn’t happen right at the first couple seconds on pull. It ramps. If you doubt the information in this video you can compare it to the evoker discord and all other content creators and see it says the same thing.
@@Jedithtv you have 1 more teammate in 3s.Doesnt make sense losing half of your dmg in breath of eaons And most classes can do dmg right away. i also asked because all other guides i saw used breath of eons right after casting ebon might. You are wrong brother.
Wow, this rotation seems very lack luster...i get that we are not a true dps role but this rotation seems similar to a healer with obly a few buttons to press....not sure how i feel about this. Ill have to play around and see if i like it. Great video!
Can't forget the massive toolkit of situational utility you then have to weave around this basic rotation. There's also many more cooldowns, interactions, conditionals involved in the rotation but it was purposely simplified for the purposes of this beginners guide
@Jedithtv yes I get that, and min maxing the utility can be fun, this doesn't seem like it'll appeal to me personally. I'll have to run a few dungeons and see if I'll like it. But honestly with this kind of rotation I'd rather this be another healing spec with a bunch of utility to use. Feels weird being a dps with healer-like rotation.
You literally just summed up every spec in wow. Like how hard is anything? You can just use add-ons if you play a class that has to monitor buffs and debuffs even if you don't use the add-ons you can just watch them yourself
@@kckillakrack9714 ??? I'm not sure what you're getting at. Difficulty of play does not always = how fun a spec can be. But from just playing around on a few dummies and watching others play I'm just stating to me personally this doesn't appeal to me. I'll run a few dungeons tonight and see how it goes...sorry if this has personally attacked you and you took something that wasn't even a factor in my statement. I play both a healer and dps and all I said was this rotation for a dps spec is akin to a healer rotation. Very few damaging abilities and rotation being very minimal where the utility is the main factor. This is kind of not typicall for a DPS spec. Hope that clarifies the statement more. Maybe after a few runs it'll grow on me but just from these first impressions I'm not so sure (I've also not kept up or seen anything related to augmentation evoker since i dont play evokers in general so this video came as a surprise to me).
@@Vill-N-E wtf are you even talking about? Personal attack Jesus go get back on your meds. Nothing in wow has been hard for like ten years. Fun is irrelevant nothing in wow is hard. You can literally lvl from 10-70 in a days worth of play time. You can be fully slotted in epics at 70 in two weeks. No raid is hard no dungeon is hard. You can just get gold with a wow token. Hell you can just pay people to get you gear while you stand there afk.
