Columbus Himself According to renowned American historian and linguist Leo Weiner of Harvard University, one of the strongest pieces of evidence to support the fact that Black people sailed to America before Christopher Columbus was a journal entry from Columbus himself. In Weiner’s book, “Africa and the Discovery of America,” he explains that Columbus noted in his journal that the Native Americans confirmed “black skinned people had come from the south-east in boats, trading in gold-tipped spears. The Accounts of Other European Explorers Christopher Columbus wasn’t the only European explorer who made note of an African presence in the Americas upon his arrival. Historians revealed that at least a dozen other explorers, including Vasco Nunez de Balboa, also made record of seeing “NEGROES” when they reached the New World. The accounts match up with the reports from the natives in Mexico. Nicholas Leon, an eminent Mexican authority, recorded the oral traditions of his people and ultimately kept track of a key piece of evidence that Black people made it to the New World far before their European counterparts. His reports revealed accounts from natives saying “the oldest inhabitants of Mexico WERE BLACKS. [T]he existence of blacks and giants is commonly believed by nearly all the races of our sail and in their various language they had words to designate them. THE GRAVE NEVER LIE IT'S THE LIVING THAT LIES Ancient African Skeletons Discovered in the New World There have been many instances of archaeologists discovering skulls and skeletons that they believed clearly belonged to people of African descent. Polish professor Andrzej Wiercinski revealed the discovery of African skulls at Olmec sites in Tlatilco, Cerro de las Mesas and Monte Alban. Even more ancient African skeletons that would clearly predate Columbus’ arrival in the Americas were discovered throughout Central America and South America with some even being unearthed in what is now California.

For all those who are saying "I'm Hispanic / Mexican"... You are feeling something because deep down you already know you are indigenous. Mexican, Hispanic etc etc are all names given to us by colonizers who have succeeded in making us feel like we are outsiders on our own lands. Don't take that sh*t from them; take it back. We must continue to decolonize ourselves by embracing our indigenous roots and heritage. You are beautiful, valid, and belong. 💖

This is good, we are All leaves upon Yggdrasil, we are all related. Check out "Helvegan" "Gra" and "Kvitravn" by Wardruna, to name a few songs that will open the door to our Ancestors even wider. Also "What Happened To The Tribes of Europe" By John Trudell, a Santee Dakota Elder I'm Mestizo (Mexican/American Indian mixed with European) myself, Nat'aahendé Band Mescalero Apache and Avripia Apache, House of Agregaard of Dains, House of Christovic of Croatian, decent of Marseille Tribe of Gauls, Clan Macpherson, Clan Macleod, Clan McDonald of Scotish and House of Puebla of Spanish. "A typical American Mutt" as the saying goes. But I know my culture from both sides of the pond. 😁 Applying Native knowledge to researching ancient Native European cultures, as an activist in the Reclamation Movement, it's clear to me that Sliepnir originated as an eight legged Bison, as found in Paleolithic cave paintings "Picto-writing" as many of us American Natives call it. It's a system of writing based on concepts within the human psyche, expressed through geometrics as opposed to phonetics. It's like if you were to ask someone to draw a stick man, it would be the same anywhere in the world, a stick mountain being a triangle, also communicating stability, like a tripod. Relationship not object. The Picto-writing in the caves of Europe are more elaborate but I'm convinced it's the same thing. Comparing Nordic "Mythology" to Paleolithic Picto-writing in Europe, it becomes self-evident that the story of Búri being licked out of the ice by Auðhumla tells us of an historical event when we transformed from a hunter-gatherer society to an agricultural society at the end of the Ice-Age. The Bison being replaced by the domestic cow and the horse. In the words of John Trudell "Everyone of us came from a Tribe at some point in our evolutionary history." We Live Recommend song, applied to our relationship with our ancestors "My Heart Will Go On" By Celine Dion Your life is not about you; your life is about your relationship with existence. Find right relationship. All My Relations 🙏🏽🪶🦅🌲

It’s in most powwow music and a popular backup singer I recommend is Fawn Wood who backups for Cree Confederation (pls correct me if I got the wrong powwow group). She also makes her own music as well!

I believe it is the gentleman on screen left...he puts his hand to his throat and hits that pitch... In vids like this, we ate hearing the heart of those that sing and drum...the actual energy at that moment, in that place was most certainly I credible... A proverb To dance is to pray, To pray is to heal.... I believe it applies to drumming as well... To drum is to pray, to pray is to heal.... May we ALL heal...

What’s funny, is all of us are native to earth. Everyone used to live like the tribes of America. All of us used to be hunter gatherer/trading warrior societies. Really, the tribes of America were the last living ones. These demonstrations of music bring all people allllllll the way back to the beginning when all we had was drum and voice. Even before language, music of some sort like this was played probably 10,000 of years ago.

This Honor Song Mi'gmaq gave me peace in my heart and mind. Our River on Tule River California Federal Recognized Reservation; went dry for the first time in my life. But I'm so thankful for Mother 🌎. She brought back some of the water and just as soon as water was back. Things didn't change they just got worse. But hopefully those that metaphorically don't do as one should; hey I do things backwards just so I can get them correct. That don't work for everyone and to those that made fun of me. I will Pray To Creator for forgiveness and struggle like the mixed blood that I am.

Beautiful music! I have been to powwows with 3 nations so far and there IS something special about this music. I'm not native but the way this music makes me feel tells me we ARE brothers and sisters. God bless you all.

Those honor beats always give me the goosebumps. Back home the guys drumming would sing the miq-maq honor song. Passamaquoddys should have our own honor song or do we? Not sure. I never participated really in the ceremonies. Sure do miss dancing. It's only been since 1991 I participated in our reservations celebrations ceremony. My mom worked really hard on what I wore. I was proud to dance in that. It was alot of leather and hot that day. While most were copying othter tribes ceremonial outfits. We went original, the way our ansestors dressed. Now I'm blabbing. Just had a proud to be native moment. Koselomol Pasamaquoddy nation!!!!

I may not know what they are singing but the sound of the drum sounds beautiful together. May your singing bring healing to your people and your land and also to your ancestors who felt the brutality from people who took your land. ONE NATION ONE LOVE❤️❤️❤️

I am a Cro... a mix of White, Black, and Native American. Though I look like a White European, I identify deeply with all of my "native" or primal ancestors... those who lived closely with Mother Earth and in balance with their natural environment. Be they Saami, English, Celtic, Germanic, tribal west coast Africans, or Native American... they are my people and I love and respect them for their contribution in making me who I am. Thank you for making this powerful video... It really fosters a sense of primal connection to my people and to Spirit and the universe when I listen to it. Pow wow music always moves me to tears. So proud of my heritage and these people. Mitakuye Oyasin (we are all connected), ~RavenCro
